  1. I think, probably deliberately, you have missed the point. Up to this season, remember the Pompey game last year to prove it still existed, Season Ticket Holders had a period of time whereby they could secure their seat for Cup games. When all stands are open I wonder why this still does not apply ? The point is your seat has always been your seat for cup gmaes unless you chose not to go to the game or take that seat. The club has now taken away that small benefit and I think its a fair question to ask why.
  2. Cant believe you cant buy your own seat for this game online. The previous two rounds I could understand but this is a premiership team in the 3rd round of the FA Cup FFS. I fail to understand the thinking behind it.
  3. You could understand Portaloo then ?
  4. . just read about the primitive pitch covering.
  5. I have stuck up for Rickie virtually all season but as has been mentioned by a few posters already this staetment is blatantly not accurate. I dont know what you have been watching but you are re-writing the present, never mind history.
  6. as is matt @takingletiss7
  7. Dont think he will but Bart should play tomorrow. Feel a bit sorry for him actually, I thought he might feature in the League Cup, FA Cup and JPT had we stayed in that one long enough !
  8. Have you seen the next three games we have coming up after tomorrow ? A defeat would not be time to slit the wrists just yet. A victory however could see us making our move for the top two :-)
  9. No Charlie Wayman for you Weston ?
  10. Phil Boyer Charlie Wayman (the real one not the dickhead on here !!) Ivan Golac
  11. The only bit I would disagee with is the remark about his son. He was actually our best midfielder whilst he was here and able to play. Not to say he isnt a complete knob as a pundit on Sky of course !
  12. In all seriousness did anyone see the Millwall shirt for their centenary of whatever celebration it was a few weeks ago ? The whole shirt had former players names woven into it and it looked really good. That would have made a superb one off keepsake, much better than the red nose badge !!
  13. No, reading the thread 2 or 3 people mention it in their reports from the evening and all say the figure quoted was £50,000. Absolute bargain IMHO.
  14. Well if you count coming on for 7 or 8 minutes here, 19 minutes there or not coming off the bench at all in some games playing quite well then I guess he is
  15. It may well be BUT since the club have made such a song and dance about it with special one season only club crest and the "Celebrating 125 years" tag line everywhere you look the logical assumption would have been that something would be done to mark the actual birth date of the club !!
  16. You would hope it was being marked in some form or another for those of us who cant afford to pay £125 in hospitality for a bit of birthday cake. I remember at the 100th birthday at The Dell back in 1985 we had a special matchday programme and plenty of events before the game and at half time. The silence however is deafening.
  17. Pulis Forecast Gobern Mills Wotton
  18. Well lets bow to the superior knowledge of the Brain of Britain then shall we ? You think its possible for a striker to score 30 goals every season he plays do you rather than have a pruple patch in front of goal for a couple of years followed by an average patch with a bad patch thrown in every so often ? Wow ! Might happen on Championship Manager I suppose. The point about him playing in a higher league - well the crucial part you seem to have missed is his age. Of course League One players can play higher and are bought by clubs in the Prem etc BUT how many of them are over 26 for instance ? Some players start in the Prem, drop down, then come back - it could happen to Barnard - but not many get to his age having never stepped foot in the Championship or beyond. If you are going to have a go and not consider a different opinion to your own then thats fine, but read the bloody post properly before calling people thick !!
  19. Phil Boyer's second v. Notts Forest in 1979. Superb one touch football move finished off by a great player for us.
  20. Rickie is what ? 28 years old. He is a League One player, he has never played at a higher level. The last two seasons have been incredible for him goal scoring wise. There was a time last season, around February where he was shooting for 30 yards every week and only the keeper or woodwork were stopping them flying in. There are very few players, if any, who can score 30 goals a season year after year. He has had a purple patch that lasted 2 years. If he was that good he would not be playing in this division. He is not a bad player, he is a good player, especially in this league. But seriously - he is judged on goals and the goals will not come as freely as last year every season. We are seeing all Rickie's limitations because he is not scoring. I still think he is the best centre forward in this league.
  21. I can. The players think they are better than they actually are IMHO. There is a difference between believing you can win every game and thinking you will win every game.
  22. 1000 up there would be a tremendous turn out. Funny isn't it how Saints fans go about their business supporting the club in such great fashion whilst down the road everyone is creaming themselves about what magnificent - when was the last time a home game was sold out - supporters they have ? Umm...
  23. We aren't, Reading are, just like they helped us out when Barnard and Connolly were both out ;-)
  24. Whats the matter with you ? Three guys who all did great things for this club and all died far far too young......... and you get a quick jibe in ? Pathetic.
