No its just that Le Fondre has only scored 1 goal since the end of November !
-
Not when he can record it and watch it back on TV later. Long way up to Blackpool.....we aren't made of money you know :-)
-
Couldnt agree more, lets not be greedy. And while they carry on beating teams around us they are doing us a favour and giving us a bit of breathing space when we have the odd cock up like last Saturday !
-
So every player who is told he will be on the bench can throw their toys out the pram and be omitted altogether cos "his head isn't right" can they ? Jason Puncheon is not hungry to play for Southampton F.C., that much is obvious.
-
Is this a serious statement ? We draw one blank and all of a sudden we cant score goals away ?
-
The main one being "Unless I really really have to I will never take you off Jason"
-
We have the player contracted until June 2013 We do not need the money therefore we are not desperate as we have been in the past. I dispute your view, I think we do have an element of power.
-
So they have NO agreement with Southampton. That could be a bit of a sticking point then !!!! £10 million, none of this £5 mil up front ********, and a loan back for this season. If you want him Arsene then stump up and dance to Cortese's tune.
-
Thats exactly what we will get. A prem ref is always in charge when a prem team plays a cup tie.
-
Puncheon has been a prodessional footballer for 7 years and in that time has played for 7 clubs either as their player or on loan. The longest he has been anywhere is two years at Barnet. I think the stats tell their own story about Mr Puncheon's attitude. I would imagine in his first few games for a club he is pretty good - as he was for us and he was for Millwall. Seems once he gets his feet under the table at a club all that goes out the window.
-
Would that be like the complimentary tickets Cortese/the club gave McMenemy and others for the JPT Final ? Terry Paine for instance was offered a ticket but couldn't get over from South Africa. I totally agree with what you say about honouring the past and treating those who have gone before with great respect. Nick Holmes and Peter Rodrigues were at the Blackpool Cup game so its not as if the history of the club began the day Markus bought the club. The trouble is when the local paper splashes great headlines about Le Tiss or Lawrie having a go about the Pardew situation etc etc.
-
Hope so ! Rather have Alex than Punch for the rest of the season.
-
No Puncheon....at least not in the starting 11 though.
-
Quite agree. Whats the point of promoting academies to bring through your own players if the big boys can just cherry pick the decent stuff coming through. A player bought through any academy from the age of 12 or 13 should not be allowed to move until they are 19 or 20. In the long term it would be better for the player too. Dont care what anyone says, Walcott left far too early and would be a better player than he is today if he had had another season of regular first team football behind him.

I thought Liscard was in Cornwall !!

Agree with that. Still to this day dont understand what Souness was playing at when he shipped Flash out.

If Mark Chamberlain thinks his son is going to go to a premiership team and be in the starting line up by the end of the season he is seriously deluded. Lets just remember that he has only made 16 starts for a League One team for goodness sake ! And I dont think he does, I think he realises his boy is better here where he will play most, if not every, week. At 17 the best thing for him to do is play against decent opposition in a competitive league. No reserve league is going to have the same intensity and I am sure Chamberlain Snr knows it. I will be absolutely amazed if he leaves......having said that roll on 1 February !!

Blast, you beat me to it. Manny Andrewzewski and Rueben Agboola I too would nominate Neil Heaney if he had not already been picked.

SAINTS CELEBRATE 125 YEARS at the Mayflower Feb 13th 2011

no I would go with hippysaint's description I think ! -
With only one League match scheduled in the next fortnight that woyuld be the ideal answer !
-
He can resemble the elephant man as long as he scores the goals that get us out of this league !
-
Well they still probably will. Just because he has gone doesnt mean they will suddenly lose every game. It probably means their challenge will tail off as the season goes on but its not like they wont pick up another win !
-
Is it ? I am surprised, I always thought assult and battery was worse. You can learn things on this forum after all ! :-)
-
At least he isnt charged with assult by battery like the Essex guy. That sounds a lot worse.
