  1. Only joined Reading in the summer. We missed out there, he only cost them about £1 million and has scored goals for them this season.
  2. You are correct but as it doesn't say anything like "Lambert was carried away with blood streaming from his face" or "Lambert and his family ran riot and threatened elderly couples out for a quiet drink" you can safely say there is nothing to it if that is the best they can do !
  3. Very good
  4. So in other words some knob head thought they would have a go at Lambert, came at him with a pool cue, Rickie defended himself, end of story (hopefully) otherwise PC Plod would have been on the scene last night and not this morning.
  5. Oh there is absolutely no point letting the story come out in full, let alone the truth when there is mass hysteria to be played out.
  6. Dont forget the "Hope You Die Soon" fanzine front cover or have Blackburn fans done worse yet ?
  7. I think it will be a good run out and chance for the new signings to blend into the team in a non League game situation :-)
  8. Morgan and Cork are for me our best midfield partnership. Its a shame it has taken NA so long to trust De Ridder so that he could move Morgan back into the middle. I hope he sticks with Steve against Bristol City. I did notice yesterday that both Guly and Rickie spent an awful lot of time out wide and that there was nobody in the middle.....presumably this will be rectified when we sign Maynard/Sharpe/Juke/J Rod/Whoever and they can feed off Lambert's excellent work out wide.
  9. Oh, you aren't joking ! I hope your boss at work doesn't review your sickness record at the end of a year where you may have been off for two weeks with a bout of flu or after having a minor operation. In your world you would be out on your ear :-)
  10. well yeah obviously, I sat through it all thanks very much.
  11. It really annoys me that the National media and people like Fergie, Redcrapp etc are slagging off Blackburn fans for their protests against Steve Kean. Unless they actually physically attack him which would obviously be going too far they are entitiled to their views as they pay their money to watch that crap every week. The local paper has picked up on the tone of the supporters and they are not calling for him to be given another chance. This all reminds me very much of the Branfoot days with protests before, during and after games, sit down demonstrations in the car park etc etc. Only difference for me is that Branfoot looks like Bill Shankly compared to Steve Kean.
  12. Yeah but lets not let facts get in the way......hey didnt Lallana miss quite a few games last season ? Get him out, just incase it happens again ;-)
  13. Yeah lets ship him out, just in case he gets injured again......FFS
  14. You didnt see the start of the show then when he said coming to Southampton as a 15 year old was the best thing he could have done and how he learnt his football education here then ?
  15. Claridge was, as he has been all season, pretty fair about us, if anything a bit flattering towards us.
  16. He's BBC's Formula 1 guy I think.....so I guess they are trying to find something else for the pillock to do. Not sure football is gonna be it......reminded me of someone who had been to Adrian Childs School of Presenting.
  17. No Chappers tweeted that it was frustrating watching from home.
  18. Whoever we sign I hope we get them at the start of January and not the 31st. We womt get away with being a bit threadbare in some postions for much longer.
  19. As per J Sibley's tweet Connolly is very close (in other words back for Palace), Chaplow is training (ditto Palace) and Barnard is out for 2 months
  20. Apart from the fact the main camera appeared to be in Southsea, the two commentators were clueless, the presenter was a class A cock and they showed replays when something was going on I thought they did quite well ;-)
  21. seconded
  22. West Ham, Middlesbro, Hull, Leeds, Birmingham, Brighton and Blackpool not withstanding of course. Not many teams are as **** at home as they were today, they wanted one point and they got one point. The celebrations from them at the end told you as much.
  23. Totally agree, you can tell with Guly what he's going to play like in the first 15 minutes usually. Had NA more faith in De Ridder I'm pretty sure Guly wouldn't have been on the pitch to NOT defend that corner.
  24. So if you apply that same logic to Saturday 3.00 kick off there isn't a problem, they would all be out of the city by 5.30 - 6.00.
  25. So Friday 30th December would probably, being the eve before New Years Eve, fairly quiet around the city centre, certainly more so than the usual Friday nights I would think. So good old Hampshire Constabluary decide to change a football fixture that will bring an extra 20,000 plus into the city, therefore giving them two busy nights in a row ? Genius.
