  1. With the best intentions possible though FF - to save the club we, and he, love !! Totally unlike some who have made many mistakes with regard to this football club whilst having no real feelings for its history or standing. I struggle to believe that some want to point the finger at MLT in the same way as some continue to criticise Leon Crouch. Very sad IMHO.
  2. Two questions - why tackle the issues ? Its in the past, move on. Secondly - why have you changed your name from 19 Canteen ? You are obviously one in the same, the writing style and opinions are identical so why the change ? I will just have to add you to my ignore list again
  3. yeah sorry, i posted at the same time as you i reckon !!
  4. If your ex County player source is Lee Todd no wonder it was wrong !!
  5. Well with that and Match of the Day on together every Saturday night then available on the red button all Sunday morning I think its fair to say the Beeb do actually take their football coverage seriously whereas ITV seem to think that beating the BBC to the rights is job done !
  6. The fact that, according to AP he kept putting off agreeing the deal SFC put to him with excuses about his agent and an illness in his agents family etc suggests he DID use SFC as the only reason he kept putting off signing was in the hope another club would come in for him. Warnock failed to sign the striker he was after (was it Craig Beattie ? ) and so he came back for his second or third choice, a couple of weeks after evidently deciding he could get better. Stern John used us as his fall back in case nothing else came along. Fair enough, and good luck to him, but he did use us at the end of the day and probably hindered the process of getting a new centre forward in as, up to the Hearts game, it was pretty obvious that AP was going to employ him as his first choice striker.
  7. No he was wearing a Saints shirt.....Lowe never put any money into the club
  8. I thought he had a decent game today.....unlike the stupid old git sat next to me who slagged him off everytime he got the ball.....in fact he slagged every Saints player off for something or other today................there is gonna be a row long before this season is out if he carries on like that
  9. A little bit better than ITV's **** poor The Championship last season then !!
  10. maybe so but if he is desperate to go he will need to look bloody interested otherwise nobody will buy him and what does that do for his career and chances of playing for Poland again ?

Their official site statement sounds very Tony Lynam to me
  12. do you know about Murty ?
  13. Will Murty be announced at the same time ? Surprised we havent heard confirmation of that deal......not another Stern John i hope
  14. Well we can all hope that happens......but it may ba asking just a bit too much. I think the League is stronger than last year to be honest.
  15. Of course it does....there are only so many points available in a League each season and if 2 teams get shed loads its obvious the other teams wont get so many !!
  16. Are you really that blinkered and short sighted alpine ? I think the general opinion is that if the Swiss deal had gone through a month earlier AP would have been appointed much sooner, he would have had the full pre-season with the players and would have had more time and opportuinty to bring in new players. Wonder how many players AP would have been interested in got fixed up with clubs between 1 July and AP's appointment ? Nobody in their right mind is suggesting Surman is the difference between consolidation and a play off place..............only you
  17. Actually what we need are two of the bigger clubs with big squads to tear this league apart and amass as many points as they can. By doing that they would make the number of points required to make 6th place - and in real terms that is surely the best we could hope to achieve - a lot less than it would be if its a tight league with 6 or 7 teams vying for the top two places
  18. You have to be realistic though. To get into the play offs this year would be a great achievement from -10. If we are mid-table at Christmas we can give that target a real go, if not then its just consolidation and building for next season, thats not lack of ambition its real life. The real target must be for next season to have a real go at ****ing this league !! But they cant come out and say, "well thanks for the 10500 plus season tickets, but actually dont expect too much this year will you cos its probably just us preparing for next season !! "

You have to say from the outside looking in Paul Hart was an awful appointment for them. They seem to agree amongst themselves too !!
  20. Oh he is............he is slow, his tackles are wreckless, his positional play is poor, he is not commanding in the air.... He has a long long way to go, even for League 1. Its a shame but thats how it is unfortunately.
  21. I dont think he has a problem with his salary, I think its just the prospect of playing in League 1.
  22. Offer from other club according to Echo. Thing is with Rasiak, will a Championship club (cos i assume thats who it would be) be willing to meet his current wages ? Its a big stumbling block it seems otherwise surely with his track record in the Championship he would have been snapped up long before now.
  23. Didnt mind using our facilities and a few friendly matches to get himself fit(tish) for a new club did he ?
