I think in fairness a number of those variables could be to do with non football issues - credit crunch, state of world markets etc etc. It only says it is harder to assess and in this day and age with the credit crunch well and truly on that makes sense and has to be taken into account. A lot can happen in four years.......just look at SFC 2005 - 09 !!

To be honest that should be the ambition for anyone taking over the club shouldn't it ? Promotion from League 1 within 2 seasons then a push for promotion/play-offs again within a further two ?

I presume Mr Fry has given a deadline for the MLT backed lot and that the ones with the offer already on the table are aware of that, otherwise this is just a case of first ones in are the winners and surely this whole process is a lot more business like than that,,,isnt it ?

It would be great if we could all sit tight, ban possible names from being posted on here in case it gets out of hand and scares someone off, and wait and see what this week brings. As somebody has mentioned already if someone who thinks they are ITK starts blurting out names and by luck or knowledge they hit the nail on the head and that has an adverse affect on this person/consortium buying the club could you live with yourself if the club goes to the wall ? It was Woodford, Askham was on the Board but not Chairman. Hopefully the new owners will be "customer friendly" and understand something of the history of SFC and as a charm offesive to win the missing fans back this could well be one of the actions they could take. IMHO all four stands should be named after those who have had the greatest positive impact on the club so, yeah, one stand named after LM and the three others after ???

As the money is not going into the club account and supporters will get their money back if the match is cancelled does that mean if a new buyer is announced in the next week the game will have no reason to go ahead and therefore be cancelled ?

Lets not choose to forget that throughout the Lowe/Wilde/Execs/Crouch/Lowe & Wilde dream team/Administrators merry-go-round there has been one constant - the Finance Director, Mr David Jones. Repeat the word FINANCE !!! So is the Finance Director not partly, or largely as it is his job, responsible for the mess we are in, or am i being stupid thinking that he must know whats going on financially within the club ? I wouldnt want him looking at my accounts thats for sure.

I find it very sad that some people on here deem it acceptable to have a go at Leon Crouch when, financially, he has put more into this club in the last, what, 3 years than RL did in 13. This is the Leon Crouch who paid for the Ted Bates statue, paid the wages (or contributed to at least) of several loan players when the club could not afford it, has lost £1.6m worth of shares but has still put money into the club in the last month to help keep it going until a buyer is found. It is the same one isnt it ? I'm sorry but to slag him off when Lowe has done NOTHING - not even a £1000 towards the fund that even catweazel Askham contributed to - is beyond contempt. And to further twist the knife he is going to turn up at Forest, regardless of an invite from their Chairman, to witness the last rites of SFC in the Championship whilst rubbing dirt into the noses of the Saints fans who will be there. It is disgusting and I hope all of you going make it as plain and clear for the arrogant sod just how the majority of us feel towards him. His petulance in getting rid of Pearson just because it wasnt his appointment only to replace him with a half ****ed Dutch experiment where we were going to be Ajax of the 70's beggars belief.
