  1. what a ridiculous thing to say......do they never learn these bloody commentators ?
  2. We are to assume that Euell is more likely to score than Saga then are we ? Oh dear.
  3. I am sure Mr Lowe will be listed on the official website and in the programme when they print the list of thankyous for all those who donate over £1000 to help the club keep going this season. If he loves the club as much as he says and none of this is his fault I'm sure he will be only too happy to donate to the club he loves. Lets just wait and see IF his name appears shall we ???? (my bet - like hell it will ! )
  4. Seeing as the City Council bailed out the club (yes Lowe and Co.) when they blew the Stoneham project by offering them the old gasworks land I think the Council would have every justification to say that they have done their bit for the football club............. However...is there local elections this May in Southampton ? Could be a wee bit of a vote winner if there is : - )
  5. He has to do this to try and erase the stigma he will have in the business world having led a company into administration. I cant see any other reason for him to keep on with his "it wasnt me guv" mantra. Me thinks he doth protest too much personally !! : - )
  6. He's not great, but he is a fan, he does admit to his mistakes and he is a hell of a lot better and cares more about the club and the supporters of SFC than Lowe and Wilde.
  7. Yeah but dont let the facts get in the way when you are as bitter as moanji is Um !!!
  8. Well said sir......but why let facts get in the way of a little slagging. If nobody had said a bloody word before yesterdays match you can be sure some would have been on here saying "where is the rallying cry" or "dont the club appreciate the mess we are in" etc etc Incredibel - dammed if you do, dammed if you dont.
  9. Just like with my question I see you have totally ignored two thirds of vectis' post !!
  10. Mary Corbett ?
  11. On the evidence of yesterday i think he already is !!
  12. That would explain a hell of a lot with regard to both of them.....obviously cant judge Pulis...thankfully !
  13. I think, for the league we are going to be in then Paul Ince or Steve Coterill are about the best we could hope for. Never thought i would say it but i would go for Coterill.....only because League 1 is about his level (tho he did well at Burnley for a fair while)
  14. I think he has lost his confidence, the pressure of our league position has got to him and to steal one of Dave Merrington's fave phrases I think he lacks the mental toughness a player needs, especially now. Of course both JP and now Wotte keep on about how the poor little lambs are tired so perhaps he gets tired quicker than the rest !!
  15. "How many more times Andrew ? Lubrication man, lubrication ! "
  16. well done, i can imagine he took that extremely well : - )
  17. what did you actually say to him then and did he respond or just look at you with that snidey sneaky weasel look of his ? hope you sympathised with him about the money he has lost with his shares being worth eff all !!!!!
  18. Without getting into the whys and wherefors could you please explain how LC was responsible ? He was only Chairman for what ? 6 months last season by which time all the money had been spent. Is it not more accurate to blame Mr Wilde and the Exec's he bought in ?
  19. I almost crashed the bloody car on the way home when Mark Dennis said that Askham was in the Directors Box. They say no sense, no feeling dont they, and that certainly applies to that weasel. I agree with a previous post, he should be more detested than Lowe and Wilde.
  20. Understand it perfectly mate - the bank would have called in that overdraft at some point in the next few months without a shadow of a doubt. Even if they hadnt then attendances would have continued to go down and mostly for one simple fact which you fail to understand - THE MAJORITY OF SAINTS FANS DID NOT AND DO NOT LIKE RUPERT LOWE OR HOW HE WAS RUNNING (INTO THE GROUND) THIS FOOTBALL CLUB !! You can harp on all you like but that is the simple facts.....and if a customer does not like an owner or a business they will withdraw their custom !
  21. I have to say that when i watched that interview and heard him say about football fans living in a dream world I had to seriously question his mental state. I think he has a real problem. How can you accuse groups of people of living in a dream world when 4 months ago he had a brainstorm and presented all shareholders with his Neville Chamberlain moment "i have in my hands a letter" which set the tone for the fury of the whole meeting. Seriously seriously unwell if you ask me.
  22. 15 ? That is excellent news. Even if 75% of those are chancers it would still leave 3 or 4 serious ones. Here's hoping !
  23. Its not a case of feeling a twinge of guilt Daren. In the past i along with many have slagged both players off, Euell as recently as the last home game when i thought he was dreadful. As you well know football is all about opinions, this forum is to air those opinions and if slagging off a player or overly praising them is part of that process then so be it. The bottom line is that if this is true these two men have shown what type of characters they are and for that they should rightly be applauded and they deserve the respect of every Saints fan like you and i who are desperate to see our great club not only survive but prosper.
  24. That is what really bothers me, seems he was loyal to Lowe throughout the 2 years he was gone, no other reason for the man who got rid of everyone who said a word against him to keep the guy otherwise. Unlike some who fear the third coming of old beetroot cheeks I dont believe he would have the money...besides he never put anything into this club so why start now ?
  25. I might have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for those pesky supporters !
