What you conveniently forget, or are ignorant enough not to know, is at Bournemouth Howe ran the show. At Newcastle he’s just the Head Coach. They’ve spent loads on new players, they’ve had an easy run of fixtures and they’ve picked up a bit yes. But it certainly didn’t start when Howe walked through the door, there was no new manager bounce, check the results as proof.

I would play same team as Friday, we will have had two days more rest/recovery time than West Ham then if needed make a couple of changes or so for Villa away then back to full strength for the visit of the Covid Kings the following Thursday.

Good idea, just when we get a striker partnership that is paying off with not just goals but the problems they give defenders you want to split it up and bring in who? Adam Armstrong or Nathan Redmond? If we want to keep this boy on loan for a second season or whatever then I don't mind him having a few quiet or off games, it shows the hype and hysteria being built up around him is just that and there is no way Chelsea will consider him first team material for them just yet. For the bigger picture its all good, hopefully.

Romeu has been absolutely fantastic for the past few weeks, I've always been a big fan of his but during this run we are on he has been different class. KWP is my other fanboy player. What an absolute cock up by Spuds letting him go....thankfully ! He has grown into that left sided role and while he will probably always be better on the right he has, for me, become one of the first names on the team sheet. Outstanding player.
