Hoping today is the final time Redmond, Stephens, Long, Bednarek or Valery pull on a Southampton shirt. That also goes for Walcott and Djenepo but assuming they won’t even make the squad today. Would include McCarthy in that but we know he’s staying 😏

So will they bother to announce McCarthy has a new contract or is it being swept under the carpet ? Not sure how they could put a good spin on it to be honest.

It will be interesting to see if Everton stick with Lampard. They’ve got away with it this year, it’s not down to great tactical nouse that’s for sure.

When he comes out in the press making statements about how we took risks last night he definitely is. I would be amazed if anyone could point out seriously what those risks were. Did he see how Newcastle and Brentford just went for it in their previous games with absolutely nothing to lose. That should have been us last night.

If that was really trying their maximum then either the manager is a complete idiot or we are being prepared for League 1. It was awful.

Had we given that a go we could have won that. Why no pressing anymore? Why just pass it around aimlessly waiting for Liverpool to score? Why not change anything when the went ahead? It’s the inconsistency though isn’t it. Take Stephens…..please take him…..but he hasn’t even regularly featured on the bench since that City cup game, then tonight, hey presto, he’s back in yet Valery, who the manager has preferred and is no worse than Stephens, stays on the bench. Why?

Don’t forget he’s had 10 days to think about this, the longer he has to think the mire bizarre it becomes!

I’m bloody glad I decided last minute to give it a miss. Stephens and Redmond, no Romeu so nobody to put their foot in. Even playing their reserves it’s 0-3 for me, they can stroll through the midfield at will.

Liverpool and Everton should be joint top given they believe they live in a peoples republic and not part of England ! I’m sure they will accept the extra Bank Holiday given to them due to The Queen’s Jubilee however 🙄

I must say having to face them now we are mathematically safe (cheers Brighton) is a relief 🤣

Leeds would have to win 6-0 for me to even raise an eyebrow. Burnley ? Umm, if they beat Spurs then good luck to them, all that does is probably send Leeds down given they only have 1 game left and Burnley 2. The funny thing will be if Everton mess up their next two games and are still in the thick of it when they go to Arsenal for the last game with Arsenal still needing a win.

Have you actually watched Leeds in the past few games? Scoring at all is an issue never mind suddenly hitting 3 or 4 each of their last two games.

If Chelsea beat Leeds we are ok, even if Liverpool hit us for 6 or 7 it means Leeds would have to win their last two 3 or 4-0 each. Unbelievably we are only 7-1 to beat Liverpool with the bookies. They could add a 0 to that and still not get my money.

well they are the constants over the past few years and managers so unless they just collect bibs and put cones out their contributions are struggling to shine through ! I did say complete revamp btw, only mentioned them cos they were the only names I could think of.

We dont, by and large, BUT isnt the idea of training during the week to eradicate the same mistakes time after time. The coaching personnel needs a complete revamp, Kevin Davis and Dave Watson should be nowhere near Staplewood. Give Davis MLT's old job as ambassador if you need him to do something.
