Tino surely our second choice left back, unless KWP is injured. But then you could just put JWP there.
-
Oh yeah forgot about him. I was going to say Redmond as a third choice, but yes, Walcott too. Suppose can start all three. Tino ahead of Redmond as well on the wing.
-
Got to be Adams and Tella up front next week.
-
Sorloth would be a mistake. I think our only chance of getting Abraham is on deadline day when nobody else has come in for him and Chelsea's best offer is our loan with an option (or even obligation) to buy

I wonder how much events at Everton have impacted them? Can't have been easy. And yes, would be awful for the away end to mention it.

I remember the meltdown when we signed Jay Rodriguez, he was overpriced apparently.

What the f**k is going on. Done with this rabble
Pamplemousse replied to Kaiser Soze's topic in The Saints
Neither had Rickie Lambert Nor had Ollie Watkins before AV signed him... Championship strikers tend to do well in the Premier League. -
Almost certainly we'll sign Adam Armstrong now.
-
Let's see how we look against the Spaniards. That's the real test. Still encouraging to know we can swat away Championship opposition. Think we'll be fine this season (depending on whether we add a couple of players...), and improve on where we finished. Top half would be nice, but let's not get carried away.

Villa are going to massively flop next year, with or without Grealish.
-
If Spurs want him that badly, they'll pay now. Leave it and Ings will have the pick of much bigger clubs than Spurs. If Man City or United came in for him, our position would be far weaker as we know he'd probably end up there anyway.

Welcome to the maison de fous!

Was also in the youth team at Nice when Claude Puel was in charge. Can only be a good thing to have learnt from world-class managers like Puel.
-
Seems like the type of player who would do OK for us.
-
I will stick my neck on the line and guess that we won't sell him for any price. Not to a non top six team in any case.
-
Anyone who wants Howe over Ralph needs to give their head a good wobble.
-
As and when we are looking for our next manager, I would be hoping for someone of a much higher calibre than Eddie Howe.
-
Can we offer a buy one get one free and throw Hoedt in to whoever wants JV?
-
Objectively a terrible decision. Don't get the hype over Kalvin Phillips. Average at best.
-
I can see Elyounoussi and Lemina working their way back, but Hoedt is done. A terrible defender, and an even worse person in my view. Get rid at all costs.

Southampton - A statistical analysis (20/21 edition)
Pamplemousse replied to TWar's topic in The Saints
Echo the thoughts of others, a very interesting read. Out of interest, have you looked into as much detail into the other teams in the league? If so, where do you see us in relation to them? Obviously from a statistical point of view, the league table, as is the cliché, doesn't lie. -
I don't think it's deliberate. He knows we need to improve defensively. And that isn't true by the way, only been January since the regular defeats. And we got 6 points from our last 4 games. Let's not make things up.
-
Very true about Puel. He knew the limitations of this team and reacted accordingly. Sadly some of our more unintelligent fans couldn't see that. Same with Ralph I think. He knows what he's working with. Just got to hope it's a busy transfer window. I really want him to be ruthless with this squad.
-
Pathetic display but players ultimately are responsible. Ralph made it clear he wanted to finish as high as possible; they let him down. Mass clear out required (I've said this for years).
