What a kick in the teeth for the fans. Top of the league, a very high chance of playing in the next level in a few months, a new stadium to go to, and the financial backing of this Bloom guy who apparently has just dished out 15m for new training facilities. I know player loyalty is terribly old fashioned these days, but if I were a Brighton fan this would sting a bit.

Definitely would have signed if Pardew was still in charge....

I know we're only half way through all this, but the one thing that scares me is being caught for 2nd late on and having to face the play offs, where anything could happen.

How good was that 3-0 at home over Christmas '03 though?! Think it's my favourite game in 20+ yrs of following the saints. Pahars got a great second, and I think it put us to 4th in league for a bit? Seems like a lifetime ago now.

Have to say I was quite surprised to see the level of hatred for us on their forum. I always liked Brighton, the club as well as the place, and had no idea they disliked us to such an extent. As others have said, hope we both go up and that their forum isnt representative of their fans as a whole.
