In a way I kind of respect the hardcore religious types more than the moderates. If you genuinely believe that God thinks homosexuals will burn in hell etc. then at least stick to your story. I don't really get the "I'm a Christian/Muslim but I don't oppose gay marriage, abortions, divorce etc." View point. If you're just going to pick and chose certain bits which suit you, there's not really any point at all. To me it's like saying, "I'm a Saints fan but I'm going to go and support Pompey next week because they're at home and and I can't really afford to travel all the way up to Burnley." Probably because it just forces people to admit the flaws in their religious beliefs and makes them think too much.

Three of the same type of player, we need Davis or JWP in there for balance and to provide a link in our forward play.

A man goes to a doctor and says, "I've got a bit of an embarrassing problem, you see my penis has turned bright orange." "That is unusual," says the doctor, "you don't by chance work in a tanning salon?" "No," replies the man "Do you work with any hazardous chemicals, biohazard, radioactive material..." The man replies, "no," to all of these. Struggling for an explanation the doctor asks, "so what do you do for a living?" "Nothing," says the man, "I just sit at home watching porn and eating Wotsits."

No, he took Boro to a UEFA Cup final, whereas Southgate got them relegated. Southgate is a hairier version of Steve Kean.
-
I'd have expected a lot more from a manager of Southgate's calibre.

In all seriousness though, even Hitler did do great things for Germany which made him immensely popular. He took over a bankrupt country, being crippled and humiliated by French and British sanctions, wiped out unemployment and built some of the greatest architecture and technology in the world. Even in Saddam's Iraq the standard of living was relatively high, with education and healthcare and widespread development in infrastructure. North Korea has none of that. I'd wager 99% of people hate living there.
-
North Korea is just one bloke and a sh*t load of mirrors. Should make a military campaign fairly easy TBH.

I do, they are, they will, I'm not

A few probably but not most. No amount of brainwashing is going to convince a person of how glorious it is to watch your family and friends be arrested, tortured and murdered, whilst you're starving and eating rats.

Interesting stat on his overall team play. Since he joined we've scored 3 goals from open play at St Mary's, when he's been on the pitch. 2 of them were his.

The World's End is just starting on Film4. Cracking film.

1st September, right one cue.

Yeah but mainly down to playing with an incredibly safe mentality, which was always going to lead to a low goal tally for both teams, regardless of personnel. I would have liked to get in a decent attacker but I think our problems are largely based on mentality, rather than talent. Tadic, Redmond, Boufal, JWP, Gabbi and Austin SHOULD have enough firepower between them to do a decent job, it's just getting the performances out of them.
-
I'd go with: Forster Cedders - Yoshi - Hoot - Bertrand Romeu - Lemon Redmond - JWP - Tadic Gabbi

Other Premier League Transfers - Deadline Day

You can, it'll just be a lot shorter. -
I'm going with 8/10 1 mark dropped each for not replacing Long and selling Gardos. Other than that
-
Overall I'm fairly happy with that for a window. We've achieved our 3 main objectives: 1) Keep Virgil 2) Replace Fonte 3) Find a partner for Romeu We've also moved on 3 players who were offered little to the squad and were just taking up wages. I'd have liked to have seen replaced by a Premier League standard player and Gardos is now well beyond being surplus but you can't have everything.

Always preferred Natalie personally, although I wouldn't kick Kirsty out of bed for eating crackers.

Perhaps Trumps should fly to North Korea and meet with Kim Jong Un, then he can come home, step off Air Force 1 holding a piece of paper and declare, "Peace in our time".
-
That's your problem, you're looking at this from the 'it must be our fault somehow' viewpoint people talk about whenever there is a terrorist attack. This isn't America looking for a regime change, they have no interest in their economy, natural resources or anything else; It's a sparsely populated mountainous wasteland. This is about a nutter trying to build a nuclear ICBM so he can aim it at Seattle or San Francisco.
-
Yes, because Russia, as unfriendly as they might be politically, at least has a sane government. As much as they like sending their 60 year old bombers and only aircraft carrier into the North Sea to try and appear relevant, they aren't actually interested in a fight other than localised skirmishes in Russian speaking parts of Ukraine.
-
There are plenty of regimes out there who the Americans don't like and do just that but NK have gone above and beyond. This is a regime who arrested an American student and tortured him to death for stealing a poster. They are every bit as bad as the Nazis and seem to have little interest in peace. I don't think a country which watches its entire population starve, whilst spending billions on a nuclear war head and firing missiles into Japanese airspace, has much interest in diplomacy.
-
That's why the US may go beyond the rhetoric in order to stop the regime. They may even come to some agreement, 'you can have a puppet/satellite Chinese/communist/dictatorial government when we're done but we're not putting up with these nutters any more.'
-
I think WW3 is a slightly pessimistic take on things, it should really be isolated to the Western Pacific. NK doesn't really have any allies other than China and they won't want to risk nuclear war with The US over some tin-pot next door neighbour who are, quite frankly, an embarrassment to them.
