  1. To the tune of 'glory glory Man Utd' You're not gay but Gus is racist You're not gay but Gus is racist You're not gay but Gus is racist And the Saints go marchin in in in!
  2. 9. Less embarassing than 8. and 14. IMO
  3. Christ, this thread is like an old people's home.
  4. £9m from Loko Moskva? I doubt they're paying him in Nectar points, would break our wage structure. Won't get a place in the Euro's playing NpC football either I don't think. Will end up in the bottom end of the Premier League with someone like Fulham or Bolton.
  5. I'd sooner keep Jos and replace Jaidi and Seaborne IF we get into the Prem. I think we'd be a fool not to keep a player who has performed so well. He could well be the difference between staying in the top 2 and a 75% chance of losing in the play offs. What's that worth these days? £70m odd last I heard. Having said that I think £2m is taking the p*ss a bit from Celtic. I believe it's more than they paid for him and considering he was a failure there I think we could get him at a cut price.
  6. So in 43 sub appearances he apparently never showed anything to warrant a place in the starting line up.
  7. 42 appearances for Wolves in 08/09. 8 Goals.
  8. Hot toast with melted butter.
  9. Vokes is 22. Still fairly young, but not a teenager anymore. If you want to say he has potential, he really should be showing a bit more by now. Besides which, you can hardly say he has improved since he played for Bompey 4 years ago. Potential is just a lable you can stick on anyone remotely young. Quoting players who were young 20 years ago doesn't prove anything either. Beattie and Shearer weren't prolific when they started and neither were a whole load of sh*t players. And yes he might be playing international football, but so is Jonathan Forte.

    Bond Films

Octopussy was one of the better Roger Moore films. The Man with the Golden Gun, that was properly crap, as was Moonraker and a View to a Kill.
  11. I can't help but dispair at the human race when I see how popular the X Fagtor STILL is. Okay 10 years ago when they made Girls Aloud and Hearsay it was a novel concept and the former even went on to have a very succesful pop career. Since then though it's just the same crap over and over and over and over and over. People have been tuning in for best part of a decade to watch the same bunch of attention seeking half wits desperate for their 15 minutes of fame. Many people even have the sheer audacity to be surprised when the sh*t novelty act gets kept on instead of an obviously more tallented singer. They don't seem to realise it's just manufactured controversy to boost ratings. I don't buy the argument that they're helping uncover hidden tallent either. I'm sure there is uncovered tallent out there, but they're writing songs and playing instruments at gigs. Not singing on some rehashed ITV karaoke freak show.
  12. I don't get why so many people want Vokes. Other than being a Saints fan he has nothing going for him. His best season was the year we went down from the Championship and Vokes had a worse scoring record than David McGoldrick. This despite playing for a league winning side, instead of a bunch of relegation strugglers. In short. He's crap.
  13. So did Matt Le Tiss, that never bothered anyone.
  14. At least people had heard of Tony Adams.
  15. Wouldn't want to meet him on a dark night. Wouldn't want to meet him at all if I'm honnest.
  16. I think you're forgetting the away fans contribution to all of this. Take the Blackburn game. First game of the season, a lot of people are either on holiday or have just got back and are skint. Saints is a pretty crap away game for them (a long, expensive journey and not a glamourous team). They probably only brought a couple of hundred. We might well have sold out our allocation, but still been 2-3,000 short of a full capacity. I'm not sure where this figure of £50m to expand the stadium by 8,000 seats came from either. It only cost us £35m to build the first 32,000.
  17. Still, could be worse. At least he isn't gay.
  18. A few of our 'crapper' home fixtures in our relegation season. Blackburn - 27,400 Bolton - 30,700 (midweek) Man City - 28,600 Birmingham - 27,500 West Brom - 31,000 Palace - 31,800 Boro - 29,000 Charlton - 31,100 Fulham - 27,300 (Midweek) Villa - 31,900 For a crap Saints team for the 10 least appealing fixtures, that's a pretty healthy number. Pretty much every other game was a sell out. If you call anything over 31,000 a sell out that's 13 out of 19 home fixtures, when we were playing awful. I think there is a pretty good case for expansion in the Premier League. 10 years to break even is nothing. We stayed at the Dell 103 years and there is no reason St Mary's can't be the same if it's well maintained.
  19. Well remembered ladysaint. We don't want another Delgado situation on our hands.
  20. What a terrible 3 months for the Reds. RIP.
  21. I've been to reserve games at Staplewood with more atmosphere than El Stadio MK. Went there that year Lambert scored a hat trick and you needed binoculars to see the home fans. Think there were about 9,000 fans all in all, with as much space for segregation as there were occupied seats. Imagine the Chapel full of home fans and the Northam full of away fans, with the rest just used as segregation and you're not far off. Dreadful place.
  22. It's a pun on 'what the f**k' as opposed to an insult.
  23. When we played them in the cup people slept in tents over night outside our ticket office. 2 weeks later they were on general sale to anyone. Not sure what point I'm trying to make, can someone help me out?
  24. Not sure who I feel sorry for really.
  25. Christ yes, well remembered. I was a block 2 stalwart back then and the whole of blocks 1-3 were singing "he's got bigger t*ts than you" at Tango man. Also remember the two of them shaking hands and having a chat at the front during half time. Good spirit and what football's all about IMO. I got to that game late and desperate for a p*ss. As I was in there I heard the distant cheering which could only mean an away goal. Cheesed off, I walked up to my seat. Just as I came out the stair well into the stadium, I saw Skacel scored what I thought was the equaliser. After a bit of cheering I walked up to my seat and it wasn't until a few minutes later I looked at the score board and it was 0-0. Both goals had been disallowed without me realising.
