Le Tissier,Beattie and Lambert as penalty takers
Lighthouse replied to corsacar saint's topic in The Saints
Vignal and Pahars both had a perfect record as pen takers for Saints too. -
Never had a BMX. Got one of these though. Race it in Frome every week.

I'm sure we can come up with a song about the statue buying/managing/supporting/playing for Pompey if we try.

Cardiff do tend to bottle it spectacularly, let's just hope they do the same this season. There is no reason at all to fear Saints will do the same. We will falter at some point, no doubt about it. Happens to every team in every division. It's recovering quickly and putting in a strong end to the season that wins leagues. Our defence was very solid yesterday, but I can't honnestly say they were troubled that much. I was amazed at how poor CMS looked after he tore pieces out of us at London Road last season. £3.5m? Looking a tad dubious to me.

I still think the Saints Web thread when that statue was unveiled is one of the funniest in the history of the interwebs. Such a shame it's gone forever.

Live 20 minutes walk away from the ground. Can't go because I'm working.

Just seen the highlights of their game on FLS. Can't believe County were allowed to wear that kit.

Brighton have no right to moan about penalties. There were to blatant penalties given. The shirt pull in the first and the shove in the second.

Who voted for Davis? Ray Charles?

Adkins laughs at Poyet's terrible grammar.

Thought Frazer Richardson had a blinder and I said as much BEFORE the perfect cross on his wrong foot for the first goal. Excellent player and was always the extra option out wide (playing 10 men helped). Probably just edges Rickie for me.

The "I thought Rickie's wide effort was going in" thread
Lighthouse replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
That was my initial thought too, but as Nextar said it's hardly fair on the 'keeper who had barely turned around when Rickie took it. -
I thought Rickie's wide effort was going in. In the Northam, so didn't have the best perspective on it, but it seemed like the whole stand thought it was in. On the other hand, I was dreading him having to retake the second penalty. Was a bit odd that. the 'keeper clearly wasn't ready, but the ref blew the whistle anyway. Great retake though.

I saw the lino waving for a foul, but looked away before I saw the flag go accross his chest. I saw the ref give the pen and thought they were arguing about whether or not it was in the box. They say penalty decisions will even out over the course of a match, but I think with this one they evened out over the course of one game. We had at least one shout denied which was better than the first pen. Even if they were all wrong. 1-0 to the Dagenham, so STFU moaning Brighton.

No, not by a long way IMO. He was good at Coventry, but overall he can be inconsistent and sometimes lazy. Can be a liability away from home in midfield. A few more performances like Coventry and I may change my mind.

Abundant, meaningless conversation and a vague smell of wee.

To the tune of 'glory glory Man Utd' You're not gay but Gus is racist You're not gay but Gus is racist You're not gay but Gus is racist And the Saints go marchin in in in!

Christ, this thread is like an old people's home.

£9m from Loko Moskva? I doubt they're paying him in Nectar points, would break our wage structure. Won't get a place in the Euro's playing NpC football either I don't think. Will end up in the bottom end of the Premier League with someone like Fulham or Bolton.

Apparently opened talks over permanant Hooiveld deal
Lighthouse replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
I'd sooner keep Jos and replace Jaidi and Seaborne IF we get into the Prem. I think we'd be a fool not to keep a player who has performed so well. He could well be the difference between staying in the top 2 and a 75% chance of losing in the play offs. What's that worth these days? £70m odd last I heard. Having said that I think £2m is taking the p*ss a bit from Celtic. I believe it's more than they paid for him and considering he was a failure there I think we could get him at a cut price. -
So in 43 sub appearances he apparently never showed anything to warrant a place in the starting line up.

42 appearances for Wolves in 08/09. 8 Goals.
