Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition

I'd go with that. -
100% agree. Lambert, Sharp, Lee, Hooper and Rodriguez would be my ideal strike force for next season.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Liebherr. Thanks for everything. WIFM

The Gambia - Here to brighten up an already sunny day....
23rdSaint replied to St Louis's topic in The Saints
Absolutely love this! Really brought a big smile to my face. Thanks for posting it. -
I saw someone put it on Twitter the other day, but I'm guessing it's just BS. Wondered if anyone else had heard the same...?

Haven't we just had a load of money put into our account from the Liebherrs?

This is the type of thread that would make someone embarrassed to be a Saints fan. How fickle can you lot be?! Yes, Bart made a lot of howlers on Saturday and made most people very uncomfortable, but he's always been a more than competent keeper. I rate him very highly and put Saturday's display purely down to nerves; he hasn't played a league match in God-knows-how-long! After waiting all that time, he has to step into the frame on a televised home game, with the added pressure of maintaining our winning home record and our top spot. Now for some, that can be a scary thought. Yes, he's a professional goalie and he shouldn't get nervous, but the stakes were high. And I imagine the first mistake (the fumble out for a corner) only made things worse. Kelvin was guilty of this at Coventry (and that led to a goal!!) I have no doubt that Saturday's performance will make him more determined than ever to prove his metal. People forget that he IS a good player. I've always hoped he would be Davis' successor. A part of me wants to see him play on Sunday - I know he'd reignite a lot of people's belief in him. I just wish the usual whingers would get off his f***ing back. Rant over. Btw, does anyone remember how bad Kelvin was when he first joined?! He was a liability. I think it's safe to say he's improved bucket-loads.

In answer to the OP's question: yes. Without a shadow of a doubt.

I think we'll win. Sure, it'll be tougher than most of the home games we've had this season, but there's no reason why we can't come out with the three points. Saints 2-1

That's his old account. He hasn't used it since July 2010. This is his new one: http://twitter.com/#!/MitchLeTiss42 I can't confirm that that's Mitch's actual account, but you would have to be incredibly sad to create a fake account based on Matt's son. It sure does look like it's his...

It's his. His son, Mitch, confirmed.

23rdSaint replied to Golac's Iron Gonads's topic in The Saints
I woke up this morning to find what I saw as an extremely positive, ambitious, and exciting article in the Sun. I was happy. Then I read this thread in its entirety... -
Not on this thread, but stating my sheer, unadulterated love for Michael Fialka to everyone and anyone.

Because people on forums account for 100% of all fans.

Looking at the BBC footage, to me, it looks like it hit the stanchion, 100%. That said, I wasn't at the game and cannot really make a point against people who were there and saw it hit the crossbar... Weird this. **After watching the "behind the goal POV", it hit the crossbar.

5th choice?! Wow, how'd you work that one out?

Thank you Markus. Forever a Saint. R.I.P.
