Think we handled Van Dijk situation reasonably well. Ended up getting a lot more money from Liverpool than they would have paid in summer. What we didn't handle well was identifying a new centre back as we bought Hoedt.

Why would we want to sign another slow centre back, especially an aged one. Vestergaard should be playing centre back and we should be pairing him with anyone other than Hoedt.

At this stage i'd take a Swansea relegation and clear out.

Hopefully we get rid of him much quicker than we did with Pellegrino.

Agree it was bad defending. Can't understand how he seems to be the first name on the teamsheet.

I’d happily sell him if the right bid came in and not replace him. We’ve got a bloated squad as is that needs trimming. Him or Davis could easily and we wouldn’t notice.

But pretty sure i saw an article from Hoedt moaning about how he was convinced to come because he'd get to play with Virgil.

don’t think Austin is brilliant at penalties. No more than tadic was.

Ings and Davis obviously. Was suprised none of Redmond, lemina and yoshi were in top 5.

Don’t think jwp/Austin have done enough to be penalty subs. If it was lambert/le tiss sure.

Hopefully a confidence booster. Probably means we’ll be playing a back 5 for a bit too again. See whether Hughes rewards players with starts who have done well or reverts back at weekend.

Sounds like Morgan is playing horribly.

Annoyed gallagher can’t even get a chance in the league cup. Well positively another loss will be closer to horrid Hughes eventual sacking.

Yeah i’m Definitely at the stage where relegation seems ok unless the next manager is a marked improvement over the current rotten incumbent. Clear out like Swansea sounds good.

Minor improvement in that at least long is out. Frustrated that Gallagher is still not even on the bench and would prefer yoshi in.
