Personally don't think his record wasn't even good before he came here. Only one season where he scored over 10, about 1 in 4 average over his career. With evidence that he's not a goalscorer i'd be looking for something else but he doesn't hold the ball up or even harry people with his pace like long. Get rid.

Well on paper at least a guy who plays regularly for title winning city is the obvious choice in a rather average England set up. Really don’t see vardy as the man as he has excelled through the middle as an out an out striker & unless Kane gets injured he’s not likely to start up top.

I personally don’t have an issue with Russia hosting it. They are a large country with a strong football base that hadn’t hosted it whereas Spain had relatively recently, as had England somewhat less recently who had also relatively recently hosted the euros. All of Portugal/Netherlands and Belgium had relatively recently hosted euros. Qatar, no history of ever even qualifying for wc, no stadiums, reports how dangerous the heat would be so that now they are going to rip up the football calendar to make it work. Yeah i’m Not going to be enthusiastic about that one.

We badly need is a strong aerial presence, who in an ideal world is also an organizer. If we were to get rid of any of them it would be yoshida for me. If we plan to continue with 3 at the back then you’d think we would need 5 rather than 4.

Glad he’s made their squad. He’s not the finished article but it’s clear he’s got some potential. I would never have described him as our best defender but I thought aerially he was strong which was an obvious weakness we had.

I’d move long on as well. If we are going to be giving a chance to someone, i’d Prefer it to be gallagher who hasn’t been given one despite a more promising beginning.

That's comical. It was a loopy hoick, certainly not anything particularly good. Now Tadic's impeccable control of the high ball and composure to finish was nice. Hope we get shot of Carrillo immediately.

Because he’s a very talented young player. And football money has gone mad -

Can’t see anyone paying 20m million for jrod. -
Growing up supporting saints and a smaller country means a greater appreciation of wins and qualifications because the state of affairs often is far less rosy.

Yeah Qualifying for every tournament is so depressing!

Nonsense in my eyes. He gets paid to play football not be a role model. Couldn't care less that he has a gun tattooed on him other than thinking its ugly.
-
Wouldn't necessarily begrudge him a move. At 23 he really needs to be playing regularly especially as he's 3rd choice currently for us. Wonder if move had anything to do with him getting that last runout against City. Thought Puel's decision to move to fullback worked well for him as he was nowhere near making a breakthrough as a winger

Of course they have to fit. Perhaps at a top 6 club they might be willing to bench sit but I don’t see it at saints. Shaqiri’s attitude is horrendous too.

Mawson, well we need a cb. There are a load of options & he just about edges it for me. Promes: we need an attacking mid with pace. If sisto impresses me at wc I may change my mind. ings: we need to clear out the strikers. I’d see if inns is sur0lus to requirement. McNair: we may very well need the 4th buy elsewhere if we lost Cedric etc but given a freehand I think McNair is a very good player who could be gotten rather cheaply off the mess that is Sunderland. Much younger version of Davis. Can play at cb too & has more of an eye for goal than davo.

Liverpool will probably be buying 2 keepers. Hopefully if they go for a Brit it’ll be Butland.
-
Will be disappointed if that means Salah won't get to play in World Cup.

Good point regarding young players, can’t recall him ever doing so. (I thought he might have given jones his start at blackburn but that was after he left.) Be interesting to see how things pan out in that arena with the likes of sims, hesketh, gallagher & even bednarek over a longer period. I’m hoping others in the club will restrict his influence over transfers & curtail a lot of the awful purchases. As for style, there were times where it was horrible under him and times it seemed good. Guess we’ll see what degree of radical shift there will be.

Would have preferred a shorter contract but then i’m Still less than ectastic about Hughes in general.
-
Yep hoping he stays. If we can get the right speedster to complement his skillful play that would be ideal.

Guido Carrillo - Official: Free Transfer to Elche

Get rid by whatever means possible, whether that's loan or sale. Showed absolutely nothing & is taking up a squad place & burdening our wage bill. Annoys me that we loaned out Gallagher rather than give him an opportunity & then spent a fortune on this dross in January. -
Think that's just Shaqiri's bad attitude. He also slagged of his team mates whilst on International duty. Personally i hope we steer clear of him.
-
And his awful transfer record at QPR or with Mega money at City His record at transfers at stoke isn't just bad over one window its genuinely poor over his entire time there.
-
He either stays as is or we replace him with someone in same role with similar influence. Last thing i would want is a lame duck director of football & transfer committee power being shifted towards manager, especially one with as poor a record in the transfer market as Hughes.

Bringing in a 21 year old who isn't a regular at his club doesn't seem to at all fit what we need.
