Because you’d be most likely be left largely with 17 of the worst ones. I’d much prefer lose less if it means losing less good players.
-
I don’t see how we lose 10 more without gutting the squad of good players. I don’t expect there to be a rush to buy/loan all the dross fringe players.
-
Disappointed if we're losing Livramento. One i definitely hoped we'd keep. Really hope that means they won't sell KWP as don't think we should be gutting a position of strength and don't think much of aarons.

I'll break the unanimity and say i'm not wholly against holgate, dependent on the price.

Nice to see us get the deal done. Be interesting to see what becomes of him. -
Hopefully we tell Burnley to Jog on especially that unprofessional video. Even if we get 15/20M, we'd probably have to spend pretty much all of it on replacing with someone like Piroe who has scored the same sort of level of goals in the championship.

What's the point of a peace summit where you don't invite one of the parties in the conflict? Is it just an excuse for a party.
-
Would seem a very odd strategy to sell both our good right backs to try and get Aarons(a player who hasn't really kicked on, hence why he's still knocking about at Norwich)
-
Do we know was Livramento HT sub due to potential injury or just a pre-meditated sub. He seemed to be struggling late in the first half after landing awkwardly.
-
Ex brenford isn't he.
-
Am i the only glass half empty person who thinks he'll fail the medical.

Is Mccarthy now 3rd choice keeper after his most recent display? Honestly i'd prefer to see Lyanco at Cb over misusing charles there.
-
The month Liverpool spent talking to lavia without agreeing a fee with us paying off then.
-
Think Sulemena has the higher ceiling but getting distinct vibes that Sulemana has no interest in being here. If that is true we definitely shouldn't be getting rid of Tella.
-
It's not a lack of urgency its just the situation we are in. The players we desperately want rid of are extremely hard to move on because they aren't very good(so won't be a priority for others) and are highly paid (making less clubs interested) The players we'd prefer to keep we don't want to sell for under our market value.

A quick google suggests prem avg wages are at least 8 times higher than championship. Even if you assume the top clubs are exagerrating that we're likely still to be among the top payers i'd have thought.
-
Who's going to want to take the wages of that lot on let alone give us 15m for them.
-
i'd be happy if Saints tried to eke out a little extra.
-
Wonder if the club will seek a cheap veteran replacement for Caballero. Could Joe Lewis be on their radar. Given the investment in Bazanu i'm pretty sure he'll be given the nod as the 1st choice. They may re-think if he starts horribly in the league. In no way would i consider GK a top priority.
-
There may be room for a cheap third choice. We're not going to be able to afford to have Mccarthy(probably 1 of the highest paid keepers in the league) as 3rd choice.
-
I've been saying for a while that bree should only be back up as the things that suited him at Jones' luton aren't a fit for how we want to play. Would be pathetic if we let both KWP and Livramento go. If there's any intention of getting promoted we shouldn't be gutting a position of strength.
-
Yeah really hoping we don't sell. Makes zero sense to me. At least its Nixon so i can hope its meaningless speculation.
-
Isn't that the wrong way round. Shouldn't they be agreeing a fee with us before they spend a month talking to the player.
-
CB is definitely a position i'd like to see some movement and CM is another where it seems certain we're going to lose both our current starters so you'd like to see good fees done and dusted. Fullback i'd be happy to keep our luxury and accomodate all 3 of Livramento, KWP and Manning. I'd be interested to see if there's any possibility of playing Livramento in a midfield role. When he was signed there was a lot of talk about his versatility. I have very low expectations of Larios and muted ones of Bree.

Have to assume there's a player attitude calculation if we are selling Sulemana as i struggle to see us getting value in sale in terms of profit generated versus what we spent in January.
