Oh for Ralf...or Ronald...or Mauricio...or even Claude!
-
Perfect night in!
-
Preston are a top side and we're lucky to be playing them. Should be able to grab a draw, unless they go down to 10, then we're fooked! Bring back the 4-2-4 and just outscore them....please!
-
I know a decent blog that starts with that. Can't remember the last bit though. π
-
On a train back from Manchester currently, sorry, did I read that we took Scienza off for Stephens here? A joke surely?! π²
-
My thing is washing up, suspect that's Jacks input as well.
-
4-4-f'in-2....though I'm not sure who the 2 could be π
-
I wouldn't be so sure...think they're still likely to catch us π
-
Dyche already taken now, only trendy and fashionable left....unless Big Sam fancies it (he won't) Whats Wee Gordon up to?
-
Same here. Utter atrocious. Losing Stewart and Quarshie has really hurt us. THB should be dropped, mouthy and a horrible/nasty streak that means he'll always get cards and just isn't any good. Lucky to stay on the pitch after leaving his foot in on Twine.
-
Macca MotM for me, some excellent saves, good punches and good kicking. Great performance! Scienza is not right for this team. Too forward thinking, too positive, always looking to shoot. That's not the Southampton way. You always, always look to the side and/or behind you first. Driving forward and shooting is an absolute final, final option. Nothing will come from it. We march...backwards or sideways, usually!

Just F'in smash it! You're not MLT, more Lambert material. Hit it on target with power, make the keeper do something as it flies at their head.
-
Think people are being harsh on Quarshie. For me, he's better than THB and Stephens and thought their goal was hit so well in the only place it could go for a goal, giving their player some credit. Came from losing the ball further up the pitch, and Quarshie forcing the player wide, which is what you'd expect. But, I've not seen it back. Shout out to Wee man who came on, looked great up front on the right and then dropped to LB and was tenacious in everything he did. Superb performance! Wood MoM for me by a mile. Just good to be heading home with 3 points (& 4 pints tucked away). Obviously pleased for Ross as well, first looked scrappy (who cares) but the second in real time looked class! Stills decision to take off Fellows and Azaz at HT were questioned in the stadium, but...it worked! Maybe, just maybe... Up the Saints

Wood immense, best player on the pitch, Quarshie not as good but a great pairing. Nervy but deserved!
-
...and throw it away with goals in the 91st, 92nd and 94th minute? π
-
What's Big Sam up to these days π
-
I'm hoping to get to the Sheff Utd game. Live in Nottm so gutted the Derby one has sold out (expected) but fingers crossed that we can get general sale tickets for Sheff. Likely to be the only game I can get to and I'll be able to get tickets for this season in the Midlands.

Baffled to be honest, keeper wasn't high up on my ticklist. Think Bazunu has been pretty good so far this season. Still waiting for the new regime to click. Could be worse, could be Rangers ππ
-
THE DUGOUTS HAVE GONE TYLER, FOR GOODNESS SAKE. YOU'RE TOO LATE! Best for everyone I think. Wish him all the best, Fernandes and Robinson much much better players. We need a striker, what's that Danny Ings up to these days. Has Rudi Skacel signed yet?
-
Ipswich Down Non-Football club. Not enough quality from Saints today. Looked like a standard Championship side, very disappointing. Some very dodgy haircuts in the Ipswich team as well, Tractor boys indeed.
-
Just popped on to see how we're doing and we've gone from 2-0 down to 2-2 as I've been reading. Makes a change from last season where every time I popped on the opposition scored.

It's Will Still mate! π

Yes, it happens occasionally that teams lose to lower level opponents, but to suggest that women's top level football is comparable to U15s is ridiculous. It's the same as Saints last season in the Prem. We were crap but still won....errrrr....(counts fingers)...2, 2 matches. But we were obviously a level (or 2) below nearly everyone else. Womens football has come on in leaps and bounds and I think is more enjoyable currently than men's football as it's not all about money yet...but is moving that way. Won't be long until that is ruined.

Utter bollocks! π

So am I allowed to open my windows now, or do I have to wait until July? π If we keep 1 of Dibling (can go for me), Ramsdale and Fernandes it's a successful window. If we keep AR and MF, that's as good a window as you can expect. I also want Tall Paul to stay. His commitment, energy and pure Saintsy-ness is heart warming. Love the guy and think he has lots to offer this club and will only thrive here with opportunities. When he powered his first goal against Forest, it was quite emotional as many people said he'd never score for us...yet, he proved people wrong and scored for us. Not many but the service was shonky. We all have our favourites, and he is mine! Saints style through and through. No matter what... Oh when the Saints...
