  1. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/blog/2017/jun/24/mauricio-pellegrino-complete-coach-southampton-manager "Southampton’s new manager, highly regarded for his man-management and tactical nous, obsesses about the damage victory can inflict on players’ hunger" And there you have it. A manager who actively fears winning games.
  2. Why even bother preparing for this game? Why are our rivals and relegation battlers looking like they can play and fight for survival? Dreadful.
  3. There is literally no one out there who could save us now.
  4. Deulofeu has looked good tonight
  5. Does anyone have an image of the graffiti by Ocean Village?
  6. Umm a draw is the best result - always is when the other relegation-threatened teams play against one another. 3 points for either side will allow them to push on, and hindering us as a result. We need to keep the teams around us on similar points to help us push on if we can start stringing a run of results together.
  7. Why is this worth a new thread?
  8. You've given the result the stud mark of doom now - hope you're proud
  9. OMFG
  10. I love ART - absolute master troll since 2002.
  11. "We need to try and win games" Yes, this is the whole point of your job.
  12. Here we go
  13. There won't be a straw that breaks the camel's back, will there? Pellegrino should've been gone long ago. It's too late now. Even if we win and move up a few places, it still doesn't justify just how awful it's been this year. Puel was terrible but this is a joke. 4 wins in 25 games with this squad proves he's not up to it.
  14. This
  15. It would be disastrous. Coventry City-sequel, IMO, especially with who is owning us.
  16. Deal's off by the looks of it
  17. The Jay-Rod situation sums up how bad it's been for the last two season. We had a gem of a player in Jay, who suffers a nasty injury. We stick by him for all that recovery period as he was one of the most exciting talents in the squad. Yet he comes back and is just shoved in the team as a bit part player after rehabilitation. Puel's crap style of footy stifled him and he wanted out, all the while fans and coaches have already dismissed him as past it and not good enough for this progressive style. Now he's looking back to his best under Pardew, probably because he's actually put faith him in. So rather than doing the same with a player we already have, we ship him out for a snip and then break our transfer record on someone unproven in the Prem. Obviously I'm going to get behind Guido but it just heightens to the shambles this club has been this past year.
  18. True - but it was clear early on none of them fit within Pellegrino's system. He should've known that during pre-season. I think the board's realised we're in deep doo-doo and is finally backing a boss in the market.
  19. Is there a reason why we didn't go for him in the summer, considering he appears to be a Pellegrino signing? Or has the board realised managers may need to bring in the players they want to make their tactics work?
  20. Did I hear Promes in this??
  21. soares ooh tadic tadic bertrand, hoedt & guido Stephens & rom-e-u he can be our guido baby he can score away the pain he will stand by us forever but he won't play at stoke away
  22. JWP probably signed pro forms in 2011. Definitely been at the club a lot longer. We signed Stephens after he made his first team debut for Plymouth that same year.
  23. Lock this garbage
  24. I have - Watford's bad run happened after I posted the above reply. Are Watford not struggling? They're 10th but 4 points off the relegation zone. That's how tight it is down there. I'd agree with you if they were 10 points above the drop.
