  1. Hopefully someone's sent Hughes a link to this forum *waves*
  2. So the “2pm meeting” must be over by now...
  3. Has anyone got evidence to the contrary that selling the club to Gao wasn’t in the best interests of the club’s future? Having no money to sack a manager who will take us down is beyond worrying.
  4. Austin’s just liked a tweet from a QPR supporter about “abuse from Southampton fans” and saying he’d like to see him back at Loftus Road.
  5. I agree too. Hoedt’s constant inclusion must be contractual, as highlighted above
  6. Hoedt is a massive part of our decline. How he can be considered the defensive lynchpin after Fonte and van Dijk defies belief. Get him on the bench and play Vestergard with Bednarek.
  7. We’re the worst team in the league by far. Hughes needs to go now.
  8. You can’t deny his managerial CV, despite the Greece blip, is very impressive.
  9. Get Jokanovic now.
  10. Well he’s clearly not going any time soon. This season is so depressing.
  11. Move this thread pls mods
  12. Hughes is a gonner. He’s made this team toilet.
  13. WTF - Watford had their hand ball goal last season now this?
  14. Sad isn’t it
  15. This link right here shows how far we have regressed in almost exactly 2 years: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37847418 The board and owners need to look at that result and realise the monumental f*** up they’ve made with this club.
  16. What do you expect considering who Hughes brought with him as backroom staff?
  17. Hughes has to go really. We might be playing the best team in the country, and one of the best in Europe, but we're rabbits in headlights. No passion. Nothing.
  18. Booze takes about 12 hours to leave your system.
  19. Here's the goal https://streamja.com/zeyM Tap in lol
  20. Happy birthday Sparky!
  21. We are down then.
  22. Basically - yeah. The squad is strong on paper. Easily mid-table. I always consider this. Football may have progressed in 6 years but both Adkins and Poch got results with a very PL inexperienced and weaker squad than the team we have now. Why were they able to get goals out of Lambert (who’d never played PL) before? Why did Puncheon look good when, again, he’d never played top flight? Loads more examples. Our players are decent but they have no confidence, no passion, no team ethic. They’re not together as one. The rot set after Koeman went and we appointed the fractious Puel, and the club’s not recovered. Hughes is meant to be a motivator, an improver, a mentor - none of that comes across. None of these players want to play for him. I like Hughes, I want to give him a chance and I was confident we’d be fine. But not scoring against the worst side in the league at home is the final straw. I can’t see it getting any better and we’re just a month away from December.
  23. If true, the board made an almighty f*** up getting Hughes in when the club is always boasting the Southampton Way of blooding youngsters. Surely they knew what he was about and his reluctance to give youth a chance? This club is a disaster.
  24. When you look back at our previous summer recruits since returning to the Premier League, I’d say these are all average signings.
