He did manage Valencia though. Massive club compared to us.
-
Yeah, I guess so. But Austin has been relegated with QPR already and Bertrand was part of an Aston Villa side that was safe by the scrape of their teeth before joining us. That leaves three others that I doubt would be up for a fight, regardless of talent. Hoedt's the only one left I think can help.
-
Really? A first XI containing McCarthy, Stephens, Yoshida, Long, and a 33-year-old Davis is destined to struggle in this league I'm afraid.
-
This is absolute ********. Where's the proof? I want stone cold facts, not assumption. What you've said is fantasyland I'm afraid. Both manager and players are not good enough. The board, coaching team and Les Reed aren't licking their lips with delight every time we lose because of some regimented tactical masterplan. I think there's something very wrong behind the scenes morale-wise and Pellegrino can't do a lot more to resolve it, imo.
-
Why though? Why are we entitled not to be where we are in the league? Fans have very short memories.
-
Typical arrogant Saints fan mentality. Our current strikers would still score less than him in Portugal right now.
-
Carrillo was born in Magdalena. Perhaps he'll oversee our resurrection.
-
2-2 after 2-0 up you melt. Go now Pellegrino.
-
Disgrace. Both the goal and the manger. Bye bye.
-
Yeah sounds like feedage if Redmond and Forster were dropped at time of press (or article publication). Scary and sobering article - reckon there's a team down the line for us who sees us as a team to challenge the top or just cash pocketing fodder? Time will tell

lock this thread please

Redmond really isn't a likeable chap, is he? Constantly shouting at others when he's clearly in the wrong.

Instant Classic has this bizarre method of starting threads without actually reading the copious amounts of threads dedicated to the same topic.

Yep. Could spell the end of top flight football for decades. We won't have a billionaire bail us out again.

Has he not gone yet??

Posted this back in June in the now closed new manager thread: "Quote Originally Posted by Maggie May View Post Would rather have Puel than Dyche. This club screwed itself by its sheer arrogance in deeming Premier League winner Manuel Pellegrini not good enough but opting for Puel, which instilled this rot that's eating away at our Premier League status. Puel should have stayed another season but shouldn't have been given the job in the first place. Pellegrino, meanwhile, is one of the worst managers I've seen.

Can we finish higher than eighth in the 2017-18 season?

Well... -
You guys do realise Lemina is going out with Balotelli's ex-missus, right? Rumour DEBUNKED.

Liverpool agree world-record £75m deal for Virgil van Dijk

Liverpool fans in uproar over this. Funny that, could've sworn a Saints player was in the stands at Anfield for their game... -
Would he, though? Good players are having a hard time in our system. He's only played 30 Prem games in two years. Worth a punt on loan, for sure, but not with us.
-
Both are not what we need IMO. This has shades of 2005 all over it.

Saints to use VVD money to bring Theo Walcott back (social media)

What. A. Post. -
Bet we won't buy anyone.
-
No, the club were absolutely wrong to appoint Puel in summer 2016. This is why we're in the doldrums.

Stop making cr@p up ffs - no sacking, more sh*te, hello Championship.
