  1. No, just the same people who enjoy shouting down anyone who dreams of investment. The latest classic, we have a 30k seater home attendance stadium, to get tickets for the final you had to have been to home games and you could buy only 1 ticket.... then they were shocked when people with few games could get a ticket.... Nothing to do with the number of seats at wembley being bigger than our ****ing stadium
  2. Can't believe people think Souness doesn't like saints. He is always gushing for praise with us when its due, and usually pretty even handed. He is one of my favourite pundits for saints games. Jamie Redknapp is clearly a massive saints fan though... (and his kid is training with us?)... So he takes the biscuit. But all in all, Sky are usually very generous to saints. Not like BT and the BBC with their massive Liverpool hard ons and constant amazement in how we perform!! As for chips on shoulders. Reading some of the comments I think its more a case of some saints fans have a chip on their shoulder about Souness than the other way around? Or is that just my reading off the comments? As was said at length at the time. The club moved Fonte on. Probably a bit of bad from both and Fonte obviously wanted to consider moves... somehow I doubt west ham was what he wanted but the club then shoved him out the door and got rid anyway. It didn't need the media PR war that we then waged against a club captain and a good servant. Nor does it excuse the club for not signing back up!! - and given the league cup final, that is all I care about! Opportunity wasted as a result.
  3. So... everyone keeping track on who disappears from here then...
  4. Award for most ****ed camerman goes to...
  5. Are remaining fixtures are: Watford (a) - Draw = 1 Tottenham (a) - Loss = 1 Bournemouth (h) = Win = 4 Crystal Palace (h) = Win = 7 West Brom (a) = draw = 8 Man City (h) = Draw = 8 Chelsea (a) = Smashed = 8 Hull (h) = Win = 11 Liverpool (a) = Loss = 11 Middlesbrough (a) = Draw = 12 Stoke (h) = Win = 15 The next two are up for interpretation, but my thoughts are: United (h) = Win = 18 Arsenal (h) = Win = 21 Think we'll get 9th. I should add that whilst our attacking problems are solved, our defence is shocking, and all of the above will rely on us being able to defend!!
  6. No. I feel sorry for Puel. He's played all season without a striker... then when the board finnaly get him one he loses his defence. We need a quality CB and perhaps a new GK and then we will tear teams apart next year. Boufal, tadic, redmond, JWP, Davis, Romeu, Cedric, Bertrand, Mqueen, VVFD!!! Gabbi etc. That is some team that will be fresher than their key opposition every single week. We are going places as long as we don't lose any key players this summer.
  7. Normally Les Says it though (which obviously means the obvious), with RK it may be different.... Time to test him will be next september. Worried Cedric may be on his way, guys is class.
  8. Given that it detailed on her before the match, was put on social media and in the local press, and was accompanied by "walking in his winter wonderland" - I can only deduce we had a lot of fairly inebriated fans at the match! Block 551 certainly got it at least.
  9. We are going to win this one all!! Be damn sure of that and lay some money on it! Saints to beat the devils
  10. Agreed. Don't understand how he keeps ending up at train wreck clubs. Reading, Blades and now Blackburn. The only thing you can say is that he stopped the rot and reading and sheffield and they are now looking to push onwards.
  11. Time to bet on them to get promoted guys.... its a win win situation and either way we'll be pleased with the outcome.... Best case scneario, they get relegated from League 1 next season and go into administration due to the financial shock of overspending on journeymen and then not being able to afford it on League 2 revenues
  12. I'm traveling from Bristol to SMS to get on the saints coaches!! Its a faf, but sod going on the trains, always potential for carnage!
  13. Yoshida and Stephens vs Zlatan. Just picture how you're going to feel every time a cross, corner or set piece gets fired into our area at head height
  14. It was a an interesting article, but it was extremely biased. Naive or rose tinted to read it any other way. Its just another club plant in the press. But then why shouldn't the club do that, they have a PR image to manage, even more so when we've been crap.
  15. He has completely ****ed up. Doesn't matter what anyone says. Gabbi should have been signed in the summer and he royally messed up the CB's. No defending that and fry is a tool for even bothering to. But then 80% of us know that about him anyway. Didn't even see him being positive pre-Sunderland yet he wants to spout his "club can do no wrong" ******** when he gets a win. Absolutely no backbone or commitment.
  16. Not sure why this is humble pie? Was blatantly obvious that we'd win this and I called us smashing them in the pre match thread then bet on it. If people really think we're worse than Sunderland they should take a step back and have a good look at how we've been playing under Puel. We've just needed an effective striker and we now have one! Gabbi's off the ball movement is superb and he links very well with our midfielders and tadic in particular. It's just a shame that the club sold Fonte when vvd was injured, that will probably cost us a fortune in league position come may. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  17. Good lord this place is depressive. Saints will win today, no doubting that! Sent from my Nexus 9 using Tapatalk
  18. We're going to win this before going on an excellent run of form, charging up the table, and winning the cup final! COYR!!

    Boufal

Boufal is class. Literally Class. Never ceases to amaze me the amount of fans who know next to nothing about the game - just like with Mane and JWP, fans write of our players far far far to early... And besides all that, watching Boufal is one of the greatest joys you can get as a saints fan this season.... The quickness of his feet and ability with the ball are simply the best I've seen in a very long time, he makes Lallana and Tadic look like a donkeys at times and is easily one of the best since Le tissier, if not the best since him.

    Puel

I actually think Puel will come good if Les and the board let him. In truth we should have smashed West Ham with the chances we created. And we're (Forster) is either getting absolutely no luck or he's turned into a cack keeper. I honestly think that if we kept Puel and gave him a bit more money this summer to strengthen the key areas we would be challenging top 7 again.
  21. It would be shocking if we let him go. Clearly destined to be a good quality prem striker. His loan at blackburn is doing him the world of good and he is doing a fair bit to steer them out of a serious relegation scrap.
  22. Need to pull this off. We are in trouble otherwise. In Puel we trust!
  23. Has to either drastically change his ways or go. Simple as that. He is on the verge of completely destroying everything cortese built.

    Les Reed

Please stop giving credit to reed. It was cortese that achieved that. And this January marked Les Reed's triumph... The removal of the last cortese legacy in fonte. Les Reed has ditched almost all of them... Poch, lallana, Lambert, lovren, Shaw, clyne, wanyama, Morgan, chambers... Our ambition died the second cortese was ousted and the only thing papering over that was koeman... Someone who clearly encroached on Reed's ego/territory and so he was also shifted out.... The only common denominator in everyone that leaves saints is Les Reed. Even the chief scout. And the delusionals on here want to give reed credit for what came before (when good) but blame cortese for the bad. I've even seen them praise him for finding mopo when. Cortese went and bloody head hunted him in person. There was a clear change of ambition the second Les got his hands on the keys and cortese was ousted. Since then he has set about undermining what came before through PR and leaks in the press, whisky dismantling that entire team and structure. Fonte was the last piece. Les Reed dame's the fans' bond to the team, sold the club's soul and appears incapable of letting anyone else at the club performing well and outshining him. Absolutely has to either change his ways or go. And the Fonte/VVD fiasco is the final straw.... But then I've been wanting him out for a couple of years and been insulted for it on this forum non stop. There is literally no excuse for risking our prem place and massively damaging our chances in a cup final the way he has done with do the and VVD. An absolute train wreck.
