Sorry, who is missing for West Brom?
-
Yea he reffed our game against Brighton at home last year when we won 3-0 but gave some ridiculous decisions for both sides. Andy D'Urso is the worst ever for me - will never forgive him for sending off Rickie away at the Amex last year after he was rugby tackled. Atkinson is terrible but we have won twice under him at home: Newcastle & Man City.

I watch all his pre match interviews and press conferences on Saints player and I think he comes across very well. Him and his interpreter are a bit of a 'double act' and come across as two normal, genuine people. He answers very honestly as well and does give more away than Nigel did. I don't really see the what your point is regardless of whether it is true.

Swansea 0-0 SAINTS // Post-Match Reaction
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Was never a foul at the time when I saw it and it is definitely not now I've seen it again. Maybe we wouldn't have held on to win the game but that was a valid goal. Linesmen just stick their noses in when they are not needed. -
It's wrong, inconsistent and unfair on all the other clubs like us, Leeds, Bournemouth and Luton, who have suffered at the hands of the incompetent Football League. But I don't know why they have let Portsmouth off because -10 this season is no punishment at all. Good to see them all 'packing the park' and showing why they are the 'best football fans in the world' today. How long will it take them to realise they are watching League Two football next season.

Swansea 0-0 SAINTS // Post-Match Reaction

Thought it was simply a case of two good footballing teams cancelling each other out. Both defences good, Clyne in particular excellent. Cork and David superb. A good point away from home and shows how we have matured as the season has gone on. -
St Marys - worst Premier league stadium?
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to toe_punt's topic in The Saints
Craven Cottage at 9 is just simply laughable, as is us being below the DW stadium and their 2 supporters. -
Not been very impressed by him I have to say. He probably has the quality but his work rate isn't the best and so he is quite inconsistent. If we were to raid QPR for a certain Loic Remy, then I would be delighted.

Ramiez, time to settle or not good enough?
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to southamptonfclegend's topic in The Saints
Gaston's set piece delivery was, as it has already been said, terrible yesterday. However, his work rate was much better I thought yesterday, and he chased people and put pressure on the West Ham players when they had the ball. His finish was excellent, yes fortunate to get there, but he took it very well. I have to say I thought he was much better than our captain yesterday and I don't see many having a go at him for a lack of impact on the game. £12Million, not at the moment, but he has the quality and just needs to keep his work rate high and work on his set pieces! -
SAINTS 1-1 West Ham // Post-Match Reaction
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
A few on here slating Hooiveld, it looked like a fair challenge to me at the time but I haven't seen it again. I thought both defences were comfortable and neither keeper had much to do, with the ball mostly being played in the middle of the pitch. West Ham came for a point, and got it, but it was a fair result I think. A point closer to safety. -

Played Off The Park: The Pochettino Effect
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Terrific piece, with great analysis and use of graphics and statistics. Match of the Day could learn a thing or two here. -
I don't know how sorry.

Remind us how she honoured the lives of te victims of Hillsborough and their families. It would be a bad idea, that's all I'm saying.
-
Bloody tories, can't stand them and couldn't stand Thatcher. She was an awful woman and brought so much hardship upon many working class people and hid the truth from the families of the Hillsborough victims. I certainly wouldn't honour it, if we did have one of Saturday.

Summer 2013 HCDAJFU / Transfer thread
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
Wilfried Bony from Vitesse? Been tearing up the dutch league this season, although many think he's destined for West Ham. Perhaps negotiations would be difficult after the Buttner fiasco last year. -
Let's not run before we can walk though guys. We are not yet safe this season, although we are in a decent position compared to the other sides and if we lose on Saturday for example, to a Reading side destined for relegation, then this thread would be ridiculed. We are playing excellent football under Pochettino and matching and outplaying the top sides but we are still playing catch up from our early season troubles. If we survive, next season may be a great season for us.

One less ex-Saints manager in employment
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to VectisSaint's topic in The Saints
I actually think it's a really good statement and is very honest to the fans of Southend. Usually, you just get a load of PR rubbish, written by some Club Spokesman, and this one seems to be genuinely from the chairman and explains his situation well. It's a shame because I like Sturrock, he seems a good guy and a good manager but it's football and the chairman has his reasons. Good luck to them all. -
Chelsea line up £7m summer bid for Clyne
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to itchen_dan's topic in The Saints
I'm pretty sure everyone on here is saying that Clyne is OUR (Southampton FC's) signing of the season. -
Chelsea line up £7m summer bid for Clyne
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod replied to itchen_dan's topic in The Saints
He would do very well for Chelsea considering they don't really have a decent RB IMO. £7M is a fair bit of money but considering he's English and this is NC, I can't see it happening. He has been excellent for us this season, terrific signing.
