Because of course players never change clubs and other clubs have no reason to be interested in our players.
-
Definitely - we got so used to having some great keepers at Saints, it's good to have a decent one again.
-
That was ****ing funny
-
Shouldn't someone put a stake through her heart just to be on the safe side?
-
Have you ever predicted a Saints win?
-
Simples - all they have to do is complete the takeover, honour the terms of the previous CVA and get enough points from their remaining games to escape the relegation zone.
-
Well, you never are right are you...
-
Not if the game's postponed.

There's a thread for this on the off topic forum - it's quite long but well worth a read.

There are some really lovely comments on that thread.

It makes me understand why fans may moan and groan at teams like Arsenal who haven’t put a trophy in the cabinet for many years.‘You can play pretty stuff but until you get a medal nothing else matters, especially when it comes to the league because it’s a slog for nine months. ‘Once you have done it, it’s something you hunger for again. ‘I was lucky enough to be involved again last season with Charlton, doing it a second time, and that is what football is about. ‘It’s not about the money for me or just playing games or entertaining, it’s not about all that stuff. ‘Only six per cent of footballers in their career will ever win a league, it’s as small as that. ‘To become part of that you want to do it again and again and that is what my hunger is, that is what I drive for. ‘That is what inspires me and drives me to play week in, week out. ‘Other players might be different. ‘You have to find what sparks you. ‘It might be money, it might be fame. If that’s what sparks you then good luck to you. ‘But what sparks me, what tickles me and gets me going is not just winning games but winning leagues and medals.’ He must be sick to the back teeth then - a fifteen game winless streak culminating in a home loss to rock bottom Hartlepool is hardly the stuff dreams are made of is it?

I speak Danish - Norwegian's basically the same language. Estonian is weird.

My Norwegian isn't great but this is my translation of the above which comes from Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten: SOUTHAMPTON/MOLDE: On Wednesday, Vegard Forren will complete the final details of his medical. He's also almost finished negotiating his contract but has agreed with the club to wait until Thursday or Friday to finalise it. This may be because Southampton want to focus on a tough league game against Chelsea in London. For this reason, some of the necessary paperwork hasn't found its way from St Mary's to the Aker stadium and vice versa. According to local paper Romsdals Budstikke, no unforseen problems have cropped up to complicate negotiations. Several independent sources confirm that there's every reason to think that he transfer will go through. I think this as about as certain as you can be that a transfer will go through before it's confirmed. Interestingly, I also noticed that Norwegian media were linking him with a move to Man U. in December.

I think they must have found some new source of funding. I can't believe they'd be allowed to use parachute payments to fund a Fratton Park purchase.

My God I have a twin.

Isn't it about time we started thinking of Pompey as beneath us as well?
-
I thought Chinny had withdrawn his bid, thus making the PST the only game in town.
-
I'd love to see us finish above West Ham, and I don't see why we shouldn't. I can't see them getting relegated though.
-
I think this is him:

There's still some desperate spin in there. Apparently the fan's bid is "getting stronger by the day." Back in the real world, the HNWIs on whose capital the bid is based are still ****ing what's left of their hard-earned into the wind. This, however: "When we take control, life will continue to be difficult because you can't put all this damage right overnight," is a tacit admission that, actually, they're completely flat broke.
-
Indeed, I think the word you want is sick-making.

Maybe, but do we really want to be outbidding Liverpool for players?
