I don't think he'll be getting any games in the middle of the park now - and the more advanced position he was playing on the right of midfield (as fickle memory serves) at the fag end of last season didn't suit him. The higher up the park you get the less space there is and our moves just always seemed to break down around him. He can carry the ball forward I grant you and he's got a decent shot. As to passing teams to death. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of tactics Adkins has planned for next season. He's been talking about tweaking them and becoming more defensively solid - I'm guessing we'll be playing even more tappy-tappy and less hit and hope but we'll see I guess.

More likely he's on a fair wack now and is unwilling to take a wage cut. His first touch is not good enough - he just doesn't work in a team that attempts to play possession football. I'd be surprised if he gets much game time.
