  1. If Gaston comes on Jay Rod can go up top, do Prado can also do a job there. I don't see a big problem.
  2. Nice one Jeff
  3. When Barker took over, Pompey were 17th and 4 points above the relegation zone. Now, they are 20th and just 1 point above the bottom two. Under Whittngham, this season, they averaged 1.2 points per game. Since Barker took over they have averaged just 0.8 points per game. Meanwhile, since Crawley replaced Barker & Coppell with Gregory and Whittingham their results have improved. Ha, ha, ha, ha :-)
  4. Skate
  5. Woot! It's happening :-) Bye, bye skates
  6. "It’s a competitive market and because we’re Portsmouth Football Club doesn’t give us a God-given right to sign players." Christ, the hubris of the guy. Did anyone seriously think Pompey do have a God-given right to sign players? I'm sure none of the Pompey faithful are expecting Le Fondre to turn up at the Fortress of Fat, still less Maradonna.
  7. "Catlin revealed Pompey explore every avenue when it comes to looking at players – even following up tip-offs from fans." OMG
  8. Get in there
  9. Surfing around Fansonline I'm starting to really regret having blown my cover on Pompey Online. Can someone with a login copy and paste a few choice quotes from grieving infighting skates to keep me in the Christmas spirit.
  10. Won't somebody think of the children?
  11. You've posted over 17,000 times on a football forum???

  13. I see the Grauniad is linking Michael Appelton with the West Brom job. What is it about that guy? Is he just amazingly attractive to chairmen or something?

    Jay Rod

Last season I wasn't convinced but he seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds. Now the third top English Premier League scorer behind Rooney and Sturridge, and looks to me like another player who's gained a yard or two of pace. Would be strange in my view if Lambert made the England party and he didn't.
  15. No, no it's not, in fact, "Fratton Park is set to be alive with excitement." It must be such a laugh watching Conference standard football in what's left of an unmaintained fire trap whilst wearing a blue santa suit. I wish our club had such amazing traditions.
  16. You, for **** stirring
  17. He was relegated with Birmingham and damn nearly relegated with both Wigan and Sunderland.
  18. He's a Championship manager and a bit of a Neanderthal. Every time he's managed in the Premiership it's been a disaster. Hull's wheels will fall off sooner or later. IMHO.
  19. To be fair he's been quite careful just to say "big stadium" not "nice" or "great" or "state of the art" or any other obvious lie.
  20. Wow - that's a statement of intent if true
  21. Don't knock it, he's a freelance sports writer whose "writing credits" include... wait for it... Pompey Online.

  23. Steven Davis turned out for Northern Ireland who lost 2-0 to Azerbaijan. They're now level on points with Luxembourg...
  24. They're at home on Thursday against FC Gallen, currently fourth in the Swiss Super League behind Grasshoppers, FC Basel and the deliciously-named Young Boys. To me it sounds like the sort of fixture where you'd expect to be able to rest a few legs.
