  1. Forster could have done with a crossword to keep him occupied. Most of the plaudits will go to Gabbiadini, but in addition I thought Romeu absolutely bossed the midfield, and praise is also due to our CB pair, who didn't put a foot wrong, ( Jermaine who ? ).
  2. The only card was the one he was duty bound to show, Khazri's hand ball. Overall much better than the 'look at me, I'm in charge' sort of display you get from some of the more senior refs, such as Prattenberg..
  3. Let me just check this - the team in black are Southampton ?
  4. 22 posts before your's. ( #139 ).
  5. Mane in 5 minutes versus Villa ?
  6. As Lord Ducky might say - complete pony.
  7. Re the above quote - "In his book The River War (1899) – his account of the frontier wars of India and Sudan – he was scathing of the fundamentalist, ultra conservative Mahdiyya form of Islam adopted by the Dervish population of North Africa" http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/11314580/Sir-Winston-Churchill-s-family-feared-he-might-convert-to-Islam.html "But what may come as a surprise is that he was a strong admirer of Islam and the culture of the Orient — such was his regard for the Muslim faith that relatives feared he might convert. " "Not only did Churchill appear to regard Islam and Christianity as equals – a surprisingly progressive notion for the time – but he also admired the military prowess and history of expansion of the Ottoman Empire. "
  8. Fade away ( and..... )
  9. What position do we currently make good decisions on ?
  10. I didn't realise 'to blight' meant 'to improve'.
  11. I thought their 'sources',at least a far as Saints are concerned, involved reading this forum.
  12. In the last few seasons it would have needed 40, 37, 38, 34, 36, 38. No team has survived in the Premier League with less than 34 points, ( West Brom survived with 34 in 2004/2005 ), 2 teams have survived on 35, West Ham went down with 42 in 2002/2003. Overall, the average suggests 38 points is actually the magic number.
  13. We could stay up with 30, we could go down with 39. As long as there are 3 teams below us at the end of the season we stay up. Any match against a team in the bottom 6 is a 'mustn't lose'.
  14. B0ll0x. Steven Davis is quite plainly not 'literally' the most overrated Saints player in our history.
  15. Surely not another "'x' out" thread ?
  16. Has the Black Box got 2 replacements already identified ?
  17. Agreed - people seem to judge his overall contribution purely on his erratic shooting. JWP is more deserving, currently, of the 'overrated' tag.
  18. That was crap, and predictably so. Questions for those calling for CP's head, ( I'm not qute there yet ) - who would you replace him with, and what about that person makes you think he can turn the season round with the players avaiable ?
  19. Plenty of alternatives out there if you're no longer happy with SFC.
  20. That's as maybe, but FF is our #1 for at least the rest of this season.
  21. "Trump aide cites 'massacre' that never occurred to defend immigrant ban" More 'alternative' facts. https://uk.yahoo.com/news/trump-aide-cites-massacre-never-occurred-defend-immigrant-155059936.html
  22. Currently all this represents is a wish-list.
  23. I see "Der Sturmer" is ranting about MPs who have "defied the will of the people" again. Dr Goebbels would be proud.
  24. It was always going to be that outcome, hardly a big surprise.
