Ahh the classic noob troll defense... 3 posts total, one of them spent defending the resident attention seeker... I wonder what nuggets of quality is in the other 2 posts... yup that figures...
-
Fair point
-
It's not as funny when you have to actually edit the quote Glas. Someone could take all the letters out of your posts and replace it with something spurious. Although I could be wrong...
-
Not sure but well done against Barnet, can be a real slippery tie that one. Shame about our losses in the EFL trophy, hopefully our U21s will get to meet you next season, would be great to see your ground full again.
-
Nah Im over the moon. But your on the wrong thread to be dropping your trousers, running onto the pitch and waving your cock around, you just look a bit of a ****.
-
If you actually read the thread on the whole it isn't about just saints and their performances, it's about the longer term decay of the football match day and league, and the instinctive reaction of supporters to either be depressed In a moment or go big time Charlie after an individual win without taking into consideration the overall picture of monetary corruption and media hyperbole. But chufty badge for you for being a demo case of the positive end of the spectrum.
-
To be fair I don't think you can give Puel this one. Charlie wasn't expected to have more than a poachers finish in him because he hasn't really had the chance. Saints is actually the best footballing side he has had a chance to have a run of games with at this level and naturally he is going to have more opportunity to show his all round game. Not being arrogant but just more a surprising fact. Puel has got the gift of doing this by all accounts but just as its early to write players like Redmond off its too early to start over praising contributions. Credit where it's due etc.
-
Lol you assume Puel wasn't aware. Rotation Glasgow. Same thing since the start. When Austin doesn't start a game don't start trolling now you've had it explained for the umpteenth time.
-
Also Romeu fantastic when he got booked 8 minutes mins in, I thought he had ****ed the game across the 90. He has learned so much since he first joined us in terms of controlling his decisions and his composure on and off the ball. So many times he could have been suckered into fouling Payet but always did just enough to break up the play without over committing. Great stuff, and while we didn't see it as much as before, he has a wicked long pass on him to switch up the play, this skill was probably my favourite thing about schniederlin as opposed to Wanyama. Think Romeu is not there yet but getting better and better. Bertrand picking up steam now too, got tired in second half but worked so hard. My only reservation at moment is Cedric or Martina because the latter has linked up so well with Austin in our non prem games. Not to say Cedric didn't have a good game mind you.
-
This for me was moment of the game. Austin gets praise for being a great finisher etc, but this for me was an eye opener and my remaining doubts removed. Fantastic vision and great technical skill to pull it off. Now confident he is the man at the top. Still just as excited by Redmond but it needs to be Austin first and then Long or Redmond with him.
-
Thought he looked even better when played left wing at times in pre-season and had no fears on getting forward.
-
Yeah Martina looks very very good again.
-
lol long bloody hell he's killing me poor bloke. Is there magnets in the Northam end goal because it seems no matter what we try it takes 50 efforts!!!
-
Bloody typical first home game I havent been able to go to in years and theres no ruddy working streams.
-
How is he being condescending? judging a player after 5 games and saying he should stick to what he is best at is ****ing mental. Thats like the boss promoting a member of staff and then the cleaner giving him 5 hours in the job before deciding the guy should stick to what he is good at and loudly gobbing off about without looking at all the hours of evidence and data the boss made the decision on.
-
Whatever you do don't it isn't pretty reading. Also agree with pretty much everything you say, I think we are off the mark and despite a slow start we are by no means as far behind getting going as many other teams seem to be. We've also had some tricky fixtures to test ourselves in and come out the others side with our dignity still in tact. We have the potential to seriously hurt and embarrass a decent team already. Bring on West Ham, stuffing them in their new gaff for the second week in the row would be very entertaining.
-
Cheers Minsk, really appreciate your efforts.

My god you really are being a ****ing mong. It isn't a competition between Redmond and Austin, they both add something different, yes you can actually have them both playing at once!!! if anything I think they should be played together. But arguing that Redmond can't be a striker is just plain stupid and smacks of ignorance when he has only had 5 games as a striker and in that time he has scored a decent goal and set up a good number of chances. Look loads of thick ******s used to insist the world was flat until someone went and had a proper look. Lets have a proper look at Redmond shall we and trust the experts that see something in him. Believe it or not even Ronaldo sometimes misses a good chance. I just find it utterly shocking that our fans won't support a young player that has amazing potential and are happy enough to condemn him after 5 games whilst whinging like a little ***** about everything else they can. Utterly ridiculous expectations and massive arrogance to think they know better. As for your stats that you are so smug about, what is your point? Mine was to disprove the comment that Redmond isn't a striker. He has scored a goal whilst playing as a striker, its not a debate or a competition it's a fact. But so you know just as a simple comparison your stats are bloody stupid and ill thought out, one of them is 27 and the other is 21. One of them has plied his trade as a striker for many seasons, the other for 5 games. You may as well have compared Redmonds stats to Ibramovich for all it means. and yes I am happy to be quiet, there's more interesting conversations to be had with brick walls.

League Goals= Redmond 1, Austin 1, Rodriguez 1. Shut up.
-
Yes I believe the manager made a decision that won us the game, making an early change was necessary to capitalise on the way Swansea had setup, it wasn't what was expected of Swansea but they seemed content to play for a draw. Playing counterattack wasn't going to work (The 'Long' game) and so get it in the mixer style of play was required ('Austins' game) also Austin was clearly knackered after game on Thursday which is why he didn't start, but on 56 minutes was brought on, why can people not understand this no matter how many times it is said. You say Redmond isn't a goalscorer and might never be... Three of our players have 1 league goal each to their name, Redmond is one of them. So actually it's easy to see why Redmond might be seen as Puels choice as the central mobile striker especially as Long hasn't scored yet and Redmond has more technical ability on the ball, both to retain it and move it around and bring others into the game. Unfortunately the lad missed a couple today 'shock, horror'. Why do people have to crawl up a players ass before he has had a chance, this always seems to happen with Saints, we really do have some serious bell end supporters on this forum, especially the ones that expect everyone to come into a team and be Aguero quality from day one.
-
Firstly Redmond is still young and has not been played long enough as a striker to be written off yet. Secondly the man who made Thierry Henry has a **** ton more knowledge about converting wingers to strikers and spotting potential than you do. Thirdly Puel made the substitution that won the game just like he also won us the Europe game 2 days ago, maybe he didn't get out of jail but actually had a plan made changes when it was needed and it worked? Finally setting up in a 4-3-3 every week is not likely to happen so get over it and besides it isn't going to magically make our strikers finish our 9 shots on target when under pressure.
-
lol spot on. Some of the posts are utterly baffling. Why every season does their have to be one player that gets picked on and hung out to dry, its ****ing weird.
-
Wow what game were you watching. Redmond was making fantastic runs and got into great scoring positions, yes he didn't finish but he was time and again doing the right things to move the opposition defenders around and create spaces. He has been a striker for 5 games of his career, he is consistently getting into positions to score so he will and his confidence will come. How can you possibly say Redmond isn't a problem for defences. Gonna go out on a limb and guess you were one of the clueless lot who said Mane was **** and a waste of money and shouldn't be in the team just after we bought him too.
-
This post is lol. So clueless.
-
Good job, really nice football was played today, felt like we battered them for the majority of the game and everything contrived to keep the ball out of the net. Redmond looks proper class, it's shame he couldn't bury the two golden chances today but he made some excellent runs to get himself into the right positions. He is clearly doing it in training so just needs to break his duck and get confidence and could be fantastic for us. Unfortunately Long should also have buried his chances today and if anyone should get some stick its him as the experienced striker who has had handfuls of goalscoring chances every game. I would like us to start a game with Nathan and Charlie together and see how it plays from the start. bring Long on as the impact striker when they tire like we did early in the season last year.
