Your defense for arguing what you have said isn't absurd is to quote some one else posting a similar thought on a football message board? Because obviously absurd things are never posted on message boards.... You're quite special aren't you? Can you please supply evidential proof of people involved in football who retire at an early age as 'they have enough money'.
-
What on earth does that mean? What an absurd thing to say. Every Premier League Player is a millionaire in their teens. Does that mean they stop asking for the highest wages they can get for the rest of their careers?
-
One thing is for sure, him announcing this means no way he will see out his contract. I assume he very much knows this....
-
A loan is as good as a transfer with a buyback clause to be fair. In reality Tino's transfer is no more than a loan due to this in any case.

Yes, it's obviously a 'British' problem... I mean the Russian, Turkish, Polish, Dutch, Italian, etc, etc ,etc, etc fans are such placid well behaved things that crowd segregation would never be needed in their countries...

What about the Zeb Bar?

But that's bollux though isn't it. Look at the Euros if you think violent behaviour doesn't come with football anymore. Sadly, it's not like other sports. That's why there are away ends in the first place. You're very naive if you think fans can get away without any trouble. There have been numerous instances of violent behavior going on between fans in Britannia Road this season which is exactly the reason why the Police have chosen to close the entire road off to home fans after this Saturday's game until all of the Coventry coaches have left.
-
Obvious but pretty much impossible? It's been done to death on every forum but having the away fans where they are is the only allowable solution to the Police in terms of getting away fans safely out without trouble. As with on Saturday with Brittania Rd being closed to home fans until all the away coaches have been sent to Coventry. The only way of moving the away fans would be to knock down the stadium and re-build at a 90 degree different angle....

What's the latest on Semmens getting in the new TVs in the concourse? Is he still waiting on delivery from Currys?
-
Why? West Ham went from just staying up to challenging for the CL in a couple of seasons. They splashed some cash but not as much as Newcastle will be able to.
-
He's not fine for a backup keeper though is he. He is nowhere near of the level that a CL club could be an injury away from having to playing him. Yes, the big clubs do like to get their home grown quota up by having an ancient/useless British keeper as No 3 keeper like City have had with Stuart Taylor and Richard Wright for years but they are never going to actually play them in a meaningful game. I guess McC would be fine for this role of a non playing number 3 but def not as a backup.
-
Why would Man Utd take McColander as part payment for Henderson as a) He's shite and b) they could pick him up for nothing in a few months as he would be out of contract.
-
It's difficult though. Who is 'they'? Obviously no one involved is still with the club, but more than that, the 'Southampton Football Club' that existed then doesn't even exist anymore. It was sold many times, went out of business and the new owners bought the remains from administration. I'm not sure what they can do other than pay lip service to what happened under previous ownership.

We can't keep judging people in the past by today's standards. The world was a completely different place in the 50s and 60s. Any allegations of that sort would be taken very seriously now, back then they were not but that was 100% down to the how things were at that time. Bates' actions, or non actions, were a product of the time he lived in. You can't penalise his legacy for that. Ran out of posts for the day so to @Matthew Le God Ok, so it was the 80s. What role did Bates have then that he is being blamed? He wasn't the manager, he wasn't the Chairman. Surely 'President' is pretty much just an honourary role and he had little to do with the day to day running of the club.

Very good! I think it's pretty much certain that the Chelsea job will go to Pellegrino and he'll take Carrillo with him.
-
Quite possibly, not with us though. Enjoy the season he's here and try to plan how we address the lack of goals from our strikers in the Summer.
-
Armstrong is never going to be a CL level player which is fine as we are never going to be a CL level team. He's had a woeful start in the PL but too early to give up on him yet as he may well improve, as did Adams, to a perfectly average sort of striker that a mid-table PL club has.
-
It's an interesting point. Obviously any relegation season would be bad but how many wins/points your team gets when mid-table is a far better judge of how 'good' a season is than which position 8-13th you finished as that is as much as result of other teams games against each other. I would certainly say the season we finished 11th on 52 points with 15 wins under RH was better than the one we finished 8th under Puel on 46 points with 12 wins. The higher league position that season was more down to other teams sharing the points against each other than our own success. As a Saints fan, if we are finishing mid-table, I would judge the 'better' season being the one where we won more games of football.
-
How can fans honestly defend Puel? Quoting 8th is a false stat as it was a ridiculously low points total for this position. The real stat is that we fell from 63 points to 46 in a single season which is a massive fall. Also, the reason fans who went to games hated him was how terrible our home form was. In 19 home games under Puel we managed a whopping 17 goals and 6 home victories which was 2 less than Hull managed and they were relegated. His sacking was 100% justified.

We're the only link in the chain at present.

Maybe we will be a feeder club?

Why not? Liebherr sold to the first person who offered her the money, even though he failed the fit and proper test first time around. Let's not forget Gao was involved in state bribery in China where he grassed up the person he was bribing in order to avoid jail and said person was subsequently executed by the state.... She would be hard pressed to find a worse person to sell to so all this stuff about her looking after her Dad's legacy is bollux. The only reason she hangs on to the 20% is as she thinks she might be able to flog this for a fortune at some point in the future.
-
Who's role will he be taking? Semmens, Crocker or both?
-
Surely the logic is obvious. Our 3rd keeper is around L2 level. Yes, Cabellero was out of contract but last season and the ones before he was good enough to be back up keeper for City and Chelsea (had a period of being 1st choice at Chelsea) and played in the PL and CL. Lewis is nowhere near this level.
