Then how do you know what goes into them; or is this all based on your own hearsay and prejudice? How can you have a rounded view if you limit your reading so much. The Daily Mail is aimed at women but I still read it sometimes to see what the wife thinks.
-
Do you advocate censorship? Do you just read papers that say what you think?
-
Yes it is certainly media obsessed - waste of time the whole thing. We vote for people we don't like so they can go and sponge off us for 5 years.

Did he say he misheard her? Then he is a liar as well. He must have left his moral compass behind.

So you think we can just carry on spending. Look at Greece, it comes to a head sooner or later. One thing for sure is that it will be industry that gets us out of this mess not the bloated and ineffective public sector.

What Prize May The Lib/Dems Demand?
Sergei Gotsmanov replied to View From The Top's topic in The Lounge
Well maybe we should go down the French route. PR stunts decision making. -
It depends how you phrase the question. I think that poll included fox hunting wioth badger baiting. There was a poll where 59% wanted to not see a ban or wanted regulation. I think your poll was comisioned by the LACS and the other one by the Countryside Alliance. Hardly neutral.

You get muddled up with Jingoism Jeff Leppard. It must be strange to think of yourself as North European because os few other people do. I care about my family first, then my village, then my city (where Southampton comes in) then my county, then my region then my country, then Australia, New Zealand and Canada and then America (with the exception of the Ryder Cup) and then Europe.

To their eternal shame they spent 700 hours debating this and som ething like 7 hours discussing the war in Iraq. It sums up their moral bankrupcy. Sadly it disenfranchised alot of people across the country.

He is a genius politician. In political football terms he would be the first person to be picked when everyone lined up.

The left are control freaks - thats why we have all the CCTV cameras and the constant form filling and bureaucracy. They want to interfere in every element of your life, what you eat, what you drink, they will soon decide when we put our children to bed. Tax is an important part of that control. Underpinning this control is their sense of their own right. That is why the catholic church can be ridiculed by the foreign office but you can be arrested if you child has a golly wog teddy bear.

Brown v Cameron
-
View from the Top, score draw or not I think the whole debate thing actually is unhealthy. I hate this X factor politics. Whatever your politics its unfair to Brown and that is not good from for democracy even if we listen to Clegg when many of us would not normally.

George Osbourne is supposed to be tye great strategist but has not grasped that he is the weak link. Clarke is getting on and his pro European views would have split the parties if he was chancellor
-
Ken Clarke like many of us, is a compassionate Tory who believes that you have to create wealth from the private sector to improve services. We have the same aims but not the same method. Like Pompey you cannot just borrow.
-
Mikey it is the other's replies that have been edited.
-
Not an Osborne fan myself. Ken Clarke was the best chancellor this country ever had.

Where are all the radical thinkers, where are all the opinion shapers and where are the risk takers in British Politics. Until we find them, we wont get real and sustainable change. Career politicians taught spin, sound bites and image. We want principle and passion even if you do not agree with what they are saying. Alan Clarke, Michael Foot, Tony Benn, Norman Tebbit, Maggie.

It depends on how his relationship with Nicola but I would think that yhe would like the stability of Saints and the future.

'The Dell Classics' DVD's. Any further ideas for new ones?

I think we drew 1-1 -
Spot on. Argue with people do not ban them.

It is bad news for the Tories but there will be two weeks of scrutiny and I think that the Lib Dems policy of joining the Euro will be their downfall. Personally I just want to see the gravel drive socialists and vindictive labour party out. Would rather the shallow Tories but if Clegg does it then great.

Cameron close winner over Clegg. Still dislike politicians.

I smoke (although regularly trying to give up) I drink heavily (I enjoy it) I eat red meat (its good with Red wine) It is none of the goverment's business and if I get ill then you will not have to pay for me to play scrabble in an old peoples home for ten years.
