Cuco. Boufal's was special last night, but you were expecting him to do something like that at some point. Cuco.....jesus, I struggle to believe it happened! Benali in third. Not the goal, just the fact it happened.

Saints 1 Sunderland 0 - Arsenal away in the quarter-final
kitch replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Boufal MoM for me, purely because he was the difference. We didn't look like scoring otherwise. Reed also did well I thought, and respect to McCarthy for carrying on and managing his injury. Never seen a CB deputising on goal kicks before! JWP - no idea what's happened there. Looked to have been getting better over the last few appearances, but wow; That was a stinker! Isgrove also poor, though I'll cut him much more slack as there would have been a fair bit of pressure on him too. Chuffed with the win, especially as it was mostly our reserves against a near full-strength XI from Sunderland. See who we get next -
A better PA system!

Ordered. Better be good

Shame, I was hoping he might start and even do a full 90 tonight.

Spot on. It's the reason Austin is one of my favourite players in our squad. He's there on merit, nothing more. I really hope he has a belting season. Sure he comes across a bit funny in interviews, and I can see something in the rumours that he's a bit of an arse (could be completely wrong of course). Don't care though. Charlie Austin's red and white! And I want him to not only take the penalties, but WANT to take the penalties too

Should merge this thread with the 'Losing Interest' one so certain people can get a f**king grip!

Deserved? I think so. We're noticeably better if he's on the pitch. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/20160914-pierre-emile-hojbjerg-player-of-the-month-august-3307422.aspx

Would a natural finisher (like Austin, perhaps) have been in the positions Long got himself into in the first place? That's his whole game - it's first class at making trouble and creating chances. He's not even 2nd class at finishing them though. He's more My Hermes

I used to work with Mark (retro home shirt) at Halfords in Eastleigh years ago. Went to the same school as him, lived up the road etc. I can tell you he is EXACTLY like that in real life!
-
You reckon? I thought he looked like he'd bulked up, as opposed to chubbed up. Either way not good, seeing as pace isn't his strong point. Still think HCDAJFU though.

100% agree. We haven't seen half of him, let alone the best of him.

I hate the term 'business' when the context is buying/selling players. Sure, by definition it may well qualify, but it never used to be referred to as 'Good Business' or 'Bad Business' or 'so&so are yet to complete their business'. Hate it with a passion, and only a visual dose of Hayley McQueen takes the edge off it.
-
Not so much the terms he uses, but Jonathon Pearce on MOTD, when he tries to use the correct pronunciation of foreign players names.....I die inside each time. He says Cazorla like he has a lisp! Mate, you're English. Say everyone else's name wrong like the rest of us!

Hope people stop believing in sky fairies? Or get rid of money. Can't think of any other way TBH. Awful.
-
Oh mine definitely doesn't, but it'll give me some ammo in a couple of weeks when she claims I never talk to her. I'll say "But I do! Only last week I asked you if Charlie Austin was a handsome man!" Marriage saved

Austin's a fairly dashing chap, isn't he? I've no idea though, I'll ask my missus this most important question tonight!

Price.

That could not be more perfect!

Makes you sick, doesn't it?

There is no thread on this forum that I want to become reality more than OP's one here!

That piece makes me feel a bit more reassured about Puel. Comparing his success to Raneri's is a fairly big deal.
-
He does? He barely kicked a ball last season!

Your first Saints manager appointment and preference?
kitch replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
First one I remember was Alan Ball taking over from Ian Branfoot. Went to my first game at The Dell that summer (think it was either against Norwich or Ipswich.....or Palace!) Wasn't really old or clued up enough (think I was about 11) to have an opinion on the manager though, I just wanted to see Le Tiss play!
