  1. It was a good game for the kids. Sun shining, J-Rod gets a good goal and enough of an atmosphere to keep them interested. I took my 6 year old twin boys, they had a better time than at the Leverkusen game this time last year!
  2. Big Vic shone tonight, absolute beast! Thought Davis, Yoshi, Fonte and Targett had solid games, Pelle had a great 1st half and Mane was unplayable for 60mins. Soares looked strong in attack, but I hope someone's ready to cover for him! Clasie had a bit of a mare, Vic pretty much got to everything, really covered some ground. Give all the new guys time though and I think they'll come good. For 40mins of that first half, we'd equal last season no problem, and its only July! Game on!!
  3. Anyone received their membership card yet? I've had the confirmation emails etc, but still not seen the card, nor is my ID recognised as a member on the website.
  4. Mixed feelings, probably the same as a lot of us. I understand his move, I wish him well personally and with his new bumper salary he'll be able to afford a decent haircut! On the flipside, it had to be fecking Loserpool didn't it? Any other team and I've have willed him on, but for them? Hope they burn, just as last season. Remember checking Liverpool scores last season and if they were winning, hoping it was a Lambert goal to soften the blow. But hey ho, we march on and all that. I think we need another RB still (personally I'd have liked to get Trippier) but we'll all be behind Cedric I'm sure.
  5. I have to admit, it's something that tinges me with sadness. We're still by no means one of the worst in the Prem for it though, and there's a massive bunch of potential stars waiting in the wings for us to sell.....sorry, for us to play! The fact we're playing like we are on the other hand, pretty much eradicates the aforementioned sadness
  6. Winner!
  7. I'd say Heaton aswell.
  8. Well said. Time for a reality check!
  9. So what happened with SRL?
  10. Good luck to him, decent player. 1.5m though? I know he didn't have much contract left, but that's still a bit of a mugging!
  11. You weren't in the family stand by chance?

    Yoshida

Had a cracking game tonight, really pleased for him.
  13. I can't even buy a ticket! Trying to get three, one for me, one for my 5yr old and one for my bro. It states you need to be a ST holder to get them now, which I'm sadly not, but then it says I can buy one only, though I can't add a U11 ticket to it, so I have to buy three all independantly and try and get them next to each other. Only when I try to do that, it decides actually, you can't buy one afterall! Doesn't give any dates for general sale, does anyone know? I've bought 14/15 match tickets, but no ST. I wouldn't panic, only they seem to be shifting way quicker than I thought they would!
  14. Yeah, it's probably why the Ebola outbreak has happened. Sky fairies have been too busy watching the EPL and rooting for us to help the rest of the world.
  15. It can very easily have wider reaching consequences! Hope everything's alright with the guy.
  16. Really?! I like JWP and Reed, but they're not at his level yet. Taider I can't comment on, and Vic struggled to get his place back last time because Cork was playing so well. He's very underrated IMO.

    Shane Long

He's doing great things for me on FIFA 14, as us. Mind you, so did the pirate.....
  18. Ha! Cheers guys. I usually sit in the Kingsland as I'm too slow to get in on the Northam ones. Have only sat in the Itchen once, and it was almost dead to be honest. I just want them to feel the buzz, but without some fat bloke full of pie behind me shouting **** **** **** all day long If I don't have the kids there, great. Makes it more fun usually. But with the littlees I'm going to be a boring bastid! Only drawback on all of this is that their first game is likely to be one we get turned over on!
  19. Gone for it and booked a few in the Itchen stand. I'll get one for the missus in case one of the kids kicks off and he needs to leave! Cheers all
  20. Thinking of breaking my 5yr old kids in at a friendly, but this one could be quite busy! Any thoughts chaps? They're itching to go to a game but they're only 5 and quite little 5yr olds at that. Need to do some confidence building for them! Was hoping it'd be Scarborough or something, but BL could pull quite a big crowd!

    Osvaldo

Independant of all the goings on with AL and DO etc, I think it was the goal of the season for us. Adz only got it because the club didn't want to give it to Dani IMO. It was an awesome goal, sheer class. Sort of thing you'd see from Bergkamp, or even Le God himself.
  22. I know it's likely to look like we've done nothing to the double-digit IQ brigade, but this is actually the most effective way of getting up his nose. Only problem if you have to carry it out with 100% accuracy, and I doubt everyone can manage that without shouting things at him!
  23. I might be late the party, but I can't help but think this would be a good move: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2672506/Southampton-want-Burnleys-Danny-Ings-replace-Rickie-Lambert.html Potential no.7 for next season. Almost along the same veins as SRL, the guy bleeds SFC. Also a proven goal machine last season - the only risk is him cutting it at PL level.
