  1. Really?! I like JWP and Reed, but they're not at his level yet. Taider I can't comment on, and Vic struggled to get his place back last time because Cork was playing so well. He's very underrated IMO.

    Shane Long

He's doing great things for me on FIFA 14, as us. Mind you, so did the pirate.....
  3. Ha! Cheers guys. I usually sit in the Kingsland as I'm too slow to get in on the Northam ones. Have only sat in the Itchen once, and it was almost dead to be honest. I just want them to feel the buzz, but without some fat bloke full of pie behind me shouting **** **** **** all day long If I don't have the kids there, great. Makes it more fun usually. But with the littlees I'm going to be a boring bastid! Only drawback on all of this is that their first game is likely to be one we get turned over on!
  4. Gone for it and booked a few in the Itchen stand. I'll get one for the missus in case one of the kids kicks off and he needs to leave! Cheers all
  5. Thinking of breaking my 5yr old kids in at a friendly, but this one could be quite busy! Any thoughts chaps? They're itching to go to a game but they're only 5 and quite little 5yr olds at that. Need to do some confidence building for them! Was hoping it'd be Scarborough or something, but BL could pull quite a big crowd!

    Osvaldo

Independant of all the goings on with AL and DO etc, I think it was the goal of the season for us. Adz only got it because the club didn't want to give it to Dani IMO. It was an awesome goal, sheer class. Sort of thing you'd see from Bergkamp, or even Le God himself.
  7. I know it's likely to look like we've done nothing to the double-digit IQ brigade, but this is actually the most effective way of getting up his nose. Only problem if you have to carry it out with 100% accuracy, and I doubt everyone can manage that without shouting things at him!
  8. I might be late the party, but I can't help but think this would be a good move: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2672506/Southampton-want-Burnleys-Danny-Ings-replace-Rickie-Lambert.html Potential no.7 for next season. Almost along the same veins as SRL, the guy bleeds SFC. Also a proven goal machine last season - the only risk is him cutting it at PL level.
  9. Ditto for me - as far as I can see it's singing about a work of medieval fiction "saving" our Queen. Not quite sure what that's supposed to mean, but hey. Rule Britannia for me. Or the Dambusters theme, though that might not work so well

    Lukaku

    You joke......
  11. Top stuff, thanks Guan
  12. I went to type Osvaldo into my tablet and it spell check changed it to invalid. Just sayin'. Seriously, I'd really love him to get his **** together, come back and take the PL by storm. Can't see it happening though.
  13. Cracks me up! Only a few months ago the number of posts saying how we need more strikers over the summer, SRL's legs have gone etc. Now he's the most important player in the squad! Personally, I'll be completely gutted if he goes. Dunno about anyone else, but he was the forthcoming world cup highlight for me, knowing that Ads and LS are probably gone. A true club legend, but the point is that his boyhood club have come knocking for him in the twilight of his career.....you can only wish him well, surely? Don't trust the board too much, but we'll just have to sit tight I guess.
  14. Was sat next to them. Brilliant banter from them...."Harrison Reed, Harrison Reeeeeeeeeeed! He looks like a Wotsit! He's Harrison Reed!" Caused a Dad to wheel his son to a different slot at the front, mind, but they were a good laugh! Poor old Tony Hibberd though. They crucified him!!
  15. Sums it up for me. Still gripes when you go to watch your team and they lose, but on the whole things are still great.
  16. Not really no, because being just my own opinion and all that doesn't translate into potential sales. Oh..........you were being funny. I get it.
  17. Mercedes to throw away this season IMO, unless Newey pulls something out of the bag again mid-season. Bottas is class. Hoping Williams finally get their mojo back.
  18. I'll stick my neck right out and say I liked last year's kit so much I bought it! That hasn't happened since 94/95 Pony/Dimplex.
  19. Spot on!
  20. Got in a couple of hours ago. I'm ashamed to say.....my first game at St Marys after loads at The Dell when I was younger! Pretty lacklustre game I thought, but if we can play badly and still win that's always a good thing. Yeovil came out with some fighting spirit in the first half but were pretty much knackered in the second after 50mins. Hats off to their fans - plenty of noise on the go! MOM for me was Cork. Workrate was high, pass completion sound and he covered when the defenders totted off (Jos had a few moments). That said, I actually thought Jos was dominant in the air today and put in a good shift. Maya.....dunno, a 5-6 from me. Shaw looked a bit uninterested at times, but Clyne seemed up for attacking. Thought Lallana put in a shift, though agree he was taking more touches than would be ideal at times. Still, he did better than I could have! Ward-Prowse looked ok, guy can really put in the crosses, eh? J-Rod looked a bit off, though I think playing alone up front doesn't seem to work for him. And what's with all the side-foot shots?! He needs to lace it once in a while! Guly....well I'm happy for the guy. From what I could see it was J-Rod who literally stuffed the ball into his chest and made him take it, though it could have been after the Northam end were egging him on to. He did a shift, looked rough at times but I'd say on the whole he did ok. Gallacher......excited about that one! Good control, took his goal brilliantly and wasn't afraid to get stuck in. Harrison Reed didn't get much time to make an impact, but an awesome cross to Davis at the end was his highlight. Good to see that youngsters getting game time. Experience at St. Marys on matchday? Loved it, it's a wonderful ground. But I'd not been to a game there before and I thought the atmosphere in the first half was woeful! It was so quiet at times I swear I've heard more noise at Conference matches! A league game for me next, me thinks and I'm excited already. I said to my brother (we used to go to The Dell together all the time as youngsters with Juinior Saints) that I knew as soon as I finally got off my arse and came to a game I'd regret not going for the last 10 years. It pretty much happened like that! Gutted not to get a programme though - did they sell all 15 of them in 10mins or something?! Cheers
  21. Nice one guys, I'll put it to him tonight and see if he's up for it. As you say, the sitting still for 120mins or so will be the toughest act to follow. He's pretty good to be fair, so we'll see. Be nice to take him. Cheers
  22. Remind me not to sit near you then To be fair I'm pretty bad with the language too - and to make it worse my kids always pick it up. One of them walked off the other day repeating "I'm going to f**king lose my s**t in a minute!" as I was building one of their toys at Christmas. Bad day.
  23. Cheers, that's what I was thinking regarding Yeovil - it'll be quieter for him and it'll give him a chance to get used to it. Not sure what I've done wrong with him (or his twin brother) as I used to love loud noises! Used to take them both to airshows when they were 2....maybe it's my fault! Cheers
