  1. Unless it's the total cost of running the stadium. Rates, electric etc would take it up to around that figure.
  2. Unfortunately Radio Solent listen again doesn't go back as far as last Tuesday, but from the take-over updates thread: I listened to it live, and that statement is in line with what I heard him say.
  3. Just goes to show that what people say, and what people hear, can be very different.
  4. It's been rumoured that it was Crouch who paid it, but effectively I'd say that made him part of the Pinnacle group. He was supposedly on the list of directors submitted to the FL. What Phil has just seemed to say, is that no deposit was paid and that the Dyer sale paid the wages. Lynam publicly stated on Solent last week that his group paid over half a million for exclusivity. That's a pretty public forum, and you'd think someone would have said if it wasn't true.
  5. Phil, unless you're prepared to expand on that, I don't know how to answer. You obviously know more about what's going on than the rest of us.
  6. They were talking to all parties, including the Swiss, before they went into exclusivity with Pinnacle. I think the main reason they went exclusive is that they needed to pay the wages, and this was the quickest way to do it.
  7. Insert 'donkey' joke here.
  8. I'm not sure why/if this is the case. Plenty of other clubs are/have been in administration and still happily sell season tickets.
  9. Yeah seems to have slowed again. But like you say, once it clicks into gear the page loads very quickly.
  10. Technical issues, he's probably decided not to speak to them and turned his phone off.
  11. I think we'll go on past Friday now. The sale of McGoldrick enables the wages to be paid and buys some more time.
  12. It's better than it was earlier.
  13. Chuffing retards....
  14. I agree. Who is going to want to buy a club with that sort of punishment hanging over their heads. A large points deduction guarantees that the club will continue to spiral downwards. More players will leave, more fans will give up, losses will continue to grow, and so on. These are very bad times.
  15. Hurrah!! Go MJ!! What a legend.
  16. I'll move onto rugby.
  17. I've seen them twice, think they are fantastic. Seriously thought about going on Friday (or at the Albert Hall in July), but only saw them last in February so felt it was a bit soon. Also spent loads at the IOW festival a couple of weeks ago. Seriously hoping they are at the IOW next year. Who else played Friday in the end by the way? They kept saying they were going to announce more acts, but didn't see anything apart from the Kooks. The supporting line up looked far better on Saturday and Sunday.
  18. Who is persevering with Pinnacle? The door has been open to others for almost two weeks, offers from elsewhere aren't exactly flooding in are they.
  19. League 1 or Premiership. Tough choice for Kelvin.
  20. Henman won loads of matches like the one last night. Murray was the higher ranked player, on home turf, and struggled through in 5 sets. That's pretty much the Henman script. Oh, and Henman and Rusedki both reached number 4 in the world. Don't get me wrong, it was a good match yesterday, but Murray was expected to win, and very nearly lost. That's nothing to get too excited about.
  21. How so? Assuming the money doesn't disappear into a black hole, you're just getting a club with a million quid less debt?
  22. It's a fair comment. If these players were intent on leaving (can't really blame them), it's better PR for them to leave before you take over, rather than it happening afterwards.
  23. What if you're parked up in a lay-by on a quiet country road at night?
  24. How was the concert?
