I wonder how the MJ lot were planning to pay up if most of their assets weren't liquid? We aren't exactly in a position where we can wait a few months for them to free up their funds.

Phil, fair play to you for fighting MJ's corner, but a couple of things. From where I'm sitting, Pinnacle were hardly in the public eye at all. You have been going to great lengths to downplay Jackson's involvement. Yet if that's the case, why is he plastered all over the paper and giving interviews? Also, you kept saying Green was the good guy who was untarnished by what had gone before. But wasn't he a director in the Trican/Barry the Briefcase affair? Didn't that show a serious error of judgement? I'm not trying to have a go, you seem like a decent bloke. These are just a few questions/niggles I have with the affair.

I think it looks horrible. I like the current badge, but if we were going to change we may as well just adopt the Southampton City crest.

That was the copyright issue. There was no copyright on the old badge, so anyone could use it. The 'new' badge, with different football, was brought in to regain control of the copyright. I actually preferred the old one.

There's already a copyright on the badge. I'd have thought that will simply transfer to the new owners.

Yeah, it seems the money they've paid is just a deposit. Fry has taken the company off the market while they get the paperwork done. Also, don't think the £500,000 has been confirmed has it? There's a few things they want to keep quiet, the total price they are paying and who 'they' are as well.

If this goes through, a few people will have to apologise for doubting Pinnacle. It was only a couple of days ago that supporters of another bid were claiming Pinnacle had walked, and slagging them off for being amateurs.
