  1. But people keep telling us SFC can't go into admin, it'll go straight to liquidation.
  2. Apparently that was last month.
  3. Well in one year we went from winning most (play offs) to losing most (last day survival). No reason that the opposite can't happen.
  4. What's wrong with Pinnacle?
  5. Yeah you're right, they are probably the people he was thinking of.
  6. How long can you hold your breath for?
  7. They were shareholders, never ran the company though. United were 'owned' by the Edwards family, latterly Martin Edwards.
  8. I would imagine that they've got rid of any casual staff they had. They are now stuck with a bunch of people who they have to pay, but haven't really got any work for them to do. Little point in making them redundant, as they will be needed again in a few weeks. Therefore you bring their hours down to a minimum, which seems to be what they have done.
  9. Yeah that's what I thought.
  10. The stuff in the Echo about how Pinnacle were the front runners until this Irish bid turned up would seem to be in direct contrast to what the people advocating the Jackson Green bid have been saying.
  11. Yeah but that's a quote from yesterday.
  12. Pompey are giving Hart the job full time.
  13. Remember that it snows and rains for about ten months of the year in Glasgow. A motorbike may seem like a good idea now, but might not in February.
  14. Green? But he was also involved in the Tricon/Trican/Barry the Briefcase bid. Not exactly an untarnished name.
  15. I'm not disagreeing with that, but there's plenty of people with agendas on here who haven't been banned. Just looked through his most recent posts, and can't see anything to warrant a ban. I'm wondering if some posts have been deleted or something?
  16. Why has TNT been banned?
  17. These people saying it would be easy to redevelop the site would also do well to remember the expensive archeological dig that had to be carried out before we could build the stadium. It's built directly upon the original site of Hamwic (sp?), and it's all still there, a few feet underground. We had to put in special foundations which don't go very far down. Any future developer would have to factor the cost of all this in. I think blocks of flats would be a total no-go.

    press conference

What, on Eastenders? Is it tonight that Bradley and Stacey leave?
  19. B Rabbit writes in orange, always has done. It's as simple as that.
  20. Bloody hell, how many Kenneth Toyntons are there in Essex?
  21. I don't think they are listed. I'm pretty sure planning permission was granted to tear them down and build something else there a couple of years ago. Remember getting a leaflet through the door advertising the scheme, must have been 3 years ago.
  22. Shares are worth nothing. Barclays won't get their £4M back, they will have to settle for a percentage. Ideally someone will make Aviva an offer to write off the stadium debt for a much lower figure (as they did with Ipswich), however I'd have thought they'd probably want getting on for £10M themselves, which would tend to indicate that this deal sees the mortgage continue.
  23. Whatever the offer is, none of it will be going towards buying shares. The shares are gone.
  24. Sorry, I was partly joking. There was Trican and Tricon, and I think it was in certain people's interests to muddy the waters between the two.......
  25. Or was it Trican?
