What was the story with him going to Reading last season? Seems strange that a player would suddenly go on loan to a top championship team and play half a dozen games at the end of the season, including the playoffs. Did they have an injury crisis or something?

Agree 100%. We did fine when we had a stronger team on the pitch, and faded when we made loads of subs. Not the first time that's ever happened, and it won't be the last. It was a pre season exhibition match, no point over analysing it.

That's true, but the Pompey fans don't rate him at all. They weren't keen on the style of football. A lot of my friends have given up their season tickets this year, due to a combination of high prices and poor home entertainment for the past couple of years.
