I'm not even sure that this league is more physical. In relation to the skill level, yes, but not in general. As soon as one of our players tries to throw his weight about he gets a free kick given against him.

And then he shut the corner. I agree that a couple of years ago the Itchen corner was good. I sat there a few times, and I'd have chosen a season ticket there this year if the corner was still open. As it is, it's a shadow of its former self.

This is Southend's 4th Friday night home match so far this season, which suggests it is pretty much a regular occurrence. They have only played 2 home games on a Saturday.

Do you have to name seven subs, or can you name up to seven substitutes? Bournemouth only had three players on the bench on Saturday. That was due to injuries, but I'm sure if they had to name seven they could have drafted a few youth teamers in.

I was very confused, as I was sure they said we had Gary Breen on the bench. Thought we had a sneaky new signing.

To be honest, it would be helpful if the club could give a bit more information on what exactly they are trying to achieve here. What they've done seems a bit half-arsed, you either close the section or you don't.

Do no other grounds have exec boxes behind the away fans? I thought there were a few that did. What do the other clubs with similar stadiums to us do?

I've got a funny feeling that's just the way Lambert plays. If you look at all the youtube vids of his goals when he played for Rovers, most of them are from a long way out.

Where was that confirmed? It's showing as a goal by Waigo on the BBC, Soccerbase, Football 365 etc.
