My third choice from all names mentioned- desperately wanted Pellegrini or Garcia but I will support him ofc. I honestly don't know why I am worried about relegation with this guy! With Garcia or Pellegrini I would've thought we will be guaranteed a few more top 10 finishes!
-
Source or just your gut feeling?
-
we introduced a third kit in our away game vs newcastle in 2014/15, could do that
-
I'd rather give JWP the game time.
-
And do you think that by leaving immigration will just suddenly stop?
-
Exactly- we never retweeted Koeman's 'thank you to fans tweet', and when we did that highlights of #InTheBox on youtube, none of Koeman's scenes came up, shows really how much we hate him.

Tbf- it was one guy! I think the reason some won't be happy is that he 'isn't a big name' and that 'his experience is only in France'. As for what people regard as a 'big name', is it someone who has managed a big club in the past? Is that what we want? I will be honest, I too was in the Pellegrini camp, but Puel certainly has something about him, and we could be the team that lets him showcase his managerial ability in the big league.

We like risks. We don't do easy, we don't buy success we breed it and other les reed sound bites.

I was so pinned on Pellegrini that for some reason I'm gonna be underwhelmed with Claude Puel. Still will get behind him though.

Leicester have decided not to sell their best players
nta786 replied to Nordic Saint's topic in The Saints
oh dear. Players don't move for champions league, they don't move for europe, they move for money- the way of the world. Originally, Vardy was on £70k a week (he signed a contract last year I believe worth that), and signed a new one today worth £100k. This is the same as what Arsenal were offering and not a penny more. If Arsenal came in with say £120k, 9/10 times he would have gone. Our club won't offer 100k a week for a while to come, because our business isn't like that. -
If, as 'Jack Schitt' says, it'll be announced in 48 hours, then I'm going to predict tomorrow. As we do things low key, maybe with all attention diverted to the EU Referendum we will just suddenly announce a new man

The only reason Vitor was dropped from the race is because you can't make 4 syllables from it. Pellegrini/Claude Puel is perfect for the chant. ITK. Very excited for Pellegrini if he is coming here. Imagine in September 2009 someone said that the current Real Madrid manager (at that time in 2009) will be coming to the Saints! Mental!
-
Actually, could we not have sold him on deadline day? Dembele misses like next 6 games doesn't he? Could have hindered them a bit more. Now he'll have a full pre season training with them too. And yes i am being petty.

This is a load of rubbish because when we play a team who actually attacks us then we park the bus. Finishing second in this group is simply Roy Hodgeson, no tactical nous and makes our players so ineffective. To think Dyke had the nerve to say Roy might get another tournament. Ridiculous

EURO 2016 has been very dull so far tbh, this 24 team expansion means that everyone is playing for a draw pretty much, and add to the fact these pitches are poor, it has been crap. 3/4 points would probably be enough to see you out of groups most of time. Need to quarters ideally to start before two quality teams play.

Their net spend is higher

I thought I read somewhere that they want to hire someone by the 28th? That is when players not on international duty are back and they do that really hard fitness VO2 test thingy. I'd have guessed interviews, talks etc would have been done at least by tomorrow
-
They have all gone onto better things. £££.

But that's boring! Let's be honest, we love the meltdown threads, gives a great laugh over the years! The Mane Thread, the B&B Thread, the Crab Lungs Post, The 'should we reinvest Long' Thread. I think if everything was said in hindsight it would be a pretty boring sport

Having read a lot of sources and what he has had to say, this is my take on things: a) Koeman says he will have discussions after season ends with the board, but that he will see out his contract b) Koeman before going on holiday, verbally agrees that he will sign, having confirmed key transfers etc Reed posts that video c) Back from holiday, Everton now reportedly offering £7m a year, his head is turned by that amount, now says to the board, I won't sign a new contract, but either NOW he says 'let me speak to Everton' or 'let me see out my third year'. (Changes agent because his old one didn't push Ronald forward the job which is why I believe it was in fact the former that happened) d) BUT from what he says, Koeman is trying to persuade us he said the latter to Reed and that we wouldn't allow the lame duck option e) Relationship deteriorates between Reed/Koeman, Koeman said he won't sign, so only option is to let him speak to Everton if we don't want the lame duck situation (gardening leave would have been hilarious though) f) We agree, compensation taking its time, he goes on second holiday, and eventually he is gone g) We March On

So from our 2013/14 team, how many are left haha? Boruc Clyne Fonte Lovren Shaw Wanyama Morgan Davis Lallana Jay Rod Lambert Just 2 players still start for us today, and Jay Rod still sidelined. 8 first team players gone, wow. (When Wanyama is confirmed gone) Not to forget some of the players on our bench that season: Jack Cork, Gaston, Osvaldo etc Has anyone lost that many players (and the manager) ever? I know we are continuing and building on that success, but that 2013/14 team I loved because it was full of British players (6 + occasionally Jack Cork). Sunderland FA Cup game 2013-14 will always be a bad day though.

I wanted Rudi Garcia so badly, but from the 3, Pellegrini for me. Also, where else would Pellegrini go from us if we were a stepping stone? He would be lowest risk appointment too, Puel, fact he has cut it in just the French League isn't enough for me, no matter what he has done.
