Normally yes, only a fool would disagree, but I am refering to how they are playing at the moment. When we played Slovenia the commentator likened it to a Premiership side playing a 3rd division side. We were holding on at the end, and although we did play better than before we were still pretty carp to be honest.

I'm sure the main hatred comes from us Englanders because the Germans simply keep beating us and I fully expect them to do it again today, unfortunately. They always seem to win the mind game war on and off the pitch. Technically they are maybe a little better than us but they are miles better at handling the occassion. The press, media etc just go way over the top in hyping the whole world cup thing and our players cannot handle the pressure from our expectant millions, proven by the way they have played so far. Saints would stand a chance of beating England at the moment so I dont hold out much hope of England beating the Germans. Hope I have to come back on here later today to eat my words but seriously dont think I will have to.

I personally remember many bad times seeing saints playing in the red and white stripes so not bothered about them really. I would not shed a tear if I never saw the stripes again and I have been watching and supporting saints for 45 years. As someone mentioned earlier, if they win promotion I dont care what kit they wear.

Why oh why Zamora did not go I dont know, much more hussle and bussle about him than the likes of powder puff Heskey, plus Zamora scores goals.

I am still livid after watching that pile of ****e. I recon if the best english players from the championship and leagues below were picked they would have won that game and played better football. As Bridgey said in an earlier post, this current lot are made to look good in the domestic league because they are surrounded by top class foreign players, take that away and they are crap. I dont care that Gerrard is played out of position, or Rooney feeds of Heskey (supposedly) blah, blah, blah, this shower could not even get basics right last night, like cross a ball, find another player, first touch control, it was all missing. Rooney and Gerrard looked lazy and uninterested and Lampard ran about like a headless chicken. These players are meant to be world class and yet I have seen better football in League 1. Oh, and what a revelation Barry was, well worth the Aston Martin DB9 he drives about, feckin not!!!! Watch Switzerland V Spain and see how hard the Swiss players worked all night, not much talent in the team but they ran and worked for eachother till they were dropping and won againt the favourites. Perhaps we should adopt that mentality because we definately are not talented enough and definately did not work hard, we were lacking in every part of the game.

If I remember rightly, was'nt it mentioned by the new owners that they wanted Sfc to be pretty much self sufficient once all the debts were cleared. Perhaps this is book balancing time, perhaps this is NC demonstrating to ML that Sfc can hold its own financially which then proves to ML we are sound financially and that he is not pumping money into a dark void. This in turn may give ML more confidence in investing more funds which is obviously required for the big promotion push. What we dont need is some militant knee jerker throwing his toys out of the pram and aiming his infantile rants at the people who saved our club from oblivion. Haven't we had enough already!

Its all in the mind. When you watch penalty shoot outs, 9 times out of 10 you know who is going to miss, you can see it etched in their faces. Its all about confidence and not showing the keeper that you are ****ting bricks!

Good shout, I have been well impressed with this guy, bosses midfield which is what AP is after.

See the sides of the crowds in those clips when there was no TV coverage. TV does have a lot to answer for.

I feel a bit sorry for the both of them especially when seeing them go crazy at Wembley when we won the JPT and Perry for that matter. But, if AP feels that we can sign better than these guys then happy days!
