I didn't explain being a 'self employed' consultant very well. As an Architect with my own practice I work from my office with as many contracts as I can secure, and manage the time as best I can, employing people to assist as necessary. Many of these contracts have an undetermined start date and stall to suit outside influences. Exactly as your second paragraph.

Welcome to the world of the self employed. As a consultant I have work when clients employ me / my practice. Most small businesses are run like this. (It is also very lucrative when a roll out contract is signed !)

Bradley Shyte Phillips is "Coming to America"
Kingsland Red replied to Jonnyboy's topic in The Saints
BWP and McGoalrush ( and his casual penalty misses), probably Saints worse ever attacking "threat". Even Ricardo "Barndoor" Fuller showed more enthusiasm for hitting row Z. -

As the bloke behind me always advised BWP regularly during matches: " If your dad wasn't Ian Wright, you'd be a dustman, you useless piece of sh*te". Harsh but fair. -
The Saints Squad as it now stands... where are the gaps?

Olivier, although starting at left back, preferred to wander around central midfield, so does not count. Try Molyneux ! -
...and I suppose Matthew Pinsent is probably too uncoordinated without a couple of oars, Pancake. I wonder what Mary Peters is up to these days, she had a bit of pace.

Looking at the 'official Saints' website photos, MP seems to be participating in most of the fitness drills. Maybe he is a bit of a Hoddle and believes HCDAJFU at centre back.

Here lies NC's problem and a he has a major job in raising the profile of the club. With the media focussing on about six clubs for many years, any up and coming club with potential is dismissed in a Lawrenson sort of way, and players hang on for a better offer to join already bulging squads, like Buttner last summer.

I dont think Kenya have ever qualified for the finals .

The Puncheon situation was resolved by our promotion to the Premier League, where he wanted to play.

That's the end of that then: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/8781731/Transfer-news-Cagliari-say-that-Davide-Astori-will-not-be-sold-this-summer

Just been down to the ticket office to renew. No queues, in fact six desks open and waiting !!

Only 8 but was not in the Luftwaffe.

That may well be so but as the conversation started with me chirpily saying ' I hear NC's in Italy this week' and his retort being a smile with 'I dont think so, he's been around here all week'. ( I do know said security guard / steward on match days )
-
Had a chat with the security guy at the front desk who said he'd been around all week.....

Was at St Marys last night at a sporting club dinner, and can confirm NC is not / has not been in Italy this week !!

Are Stoke the ugliest 'football' team in the Premier?
Kingsland Red replied to Norm's topic in The Saints
Maybe football has moved on and the rough house / siege mentality tactics have limited appeal / success. -

With Pulis gone, only the once elegant school of football, the Hammers offer the Barclays Premier League neanderthal football for next season. Still cant believe they renewed Fat Sam's contract. -
Dreadful news and very best wishes to Chappers and his partner.

SAINTS 1-1 Stoke City // Post-Match Reaction
Kingsland Red replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
A bit end of season, but Begovic kept the score down when we had a 20 minute spell in the middle of the second half. Agree with comments that we need an attacking midfield player who will get goals. Could also do with some more pace up front / out wide. Our high pressing game seems to have been blown out over the last few weeks and our very narrow approach meant we couldnt expose Stoke often enough behind their full backs. -
Mario Licka gave away the free kick leading to PSG's first goal in Beckham's last game against Brest.

Best outcome possiblel COYR

Last time we stayed up, Nigel Pearson and the players did a lap of the pitch, cant see why this cannot be repeated. Pitch invasion for survival is a bit OTT
