I'm sure the guy in the background of the pic is meant to be there, right?
-
What do you mean another relegation? There's been nothing in the papers about that...
-
Sure he was referee for the Saints-Reading game as well in December... let the game flow there too..
-
Did quite a few aways in the League One days, yet Orient is the only one I can remember (twice!)
-
Three from Arsenal this season...
-
It'll be interesting to see how Chelsea approach this, with the FA Cup replay on the Monday... I cannot see all of Mata/Hazard/Oscar/Ramires/Ba starting, particularly with a full international week before hand as well.
-
In the Sunday Sun, Cork got 6 and JayRod needs to learn the offside rule. Atkinson got a 7 BTW.
-
Slight improvement on his performance in the Saints/Newcastle game, but he was on a par with Peter Walton/Leeds that day so still dire.
-
Davis seems to be more suited as the most advanced of the three... has always looked impressive in that role...
-
Jack Butland to Stoke (but on loan to Brum until end of season)... thus allowing Begovic to leave in summer.
-
Andy Williams, and his mazy run at the Dell against Chelsea...... Kevin Davies was playing so 97/98 era?
-
Alan Smith said he played the ball...
-
Or perhaps a bit earlier when Sky is doing all the pre-match stuff, and/or when the team goes in from the warmups?
-
Ditto. Did not even notice the JayRod challenge!
-
Morgan, Punch and Davis seemed to have gone shopping together, as they all had the same ones. All three slipped up subsequently. Shows team unitity I suppose.

If YOU could give Nigel Adkins one piece of advice; what would it be

I was told something very similiar last weekend. -
Had a couple of "warm" handshakes with Lambert during and after he was substituted too...
-
Indeed. Just a bit frustrating! Perhaps Saints will in future offer big-screen advertising space for the "Gazza does his shoelaces up" slot!
-
At one point all you saw of one chance was the player's foot *about* to make contact with the ball...and then an advert for AAP3!
-
Funny everyone knows who the "rubbish" referees are, as the best ones never get noticed. Take MIke Dean, with his over dramatic hand gestures earlier this weekend at Sunderland, a prime demonstration of "Look at me" syndrome. Atkinson was awful today, and I am not expecting an improvement from Clattenberg either on Wednesday (we've had him before this season somewhere!)
-
Geniune question! Are most of the "replays" that are supposedly played back on the big screen being cut short by advertising before they are actually shown? Having a older member of the family with me today, he were hoping to watch a couple of replays of the 2nd half chances at the Northam end, yet the footage always seemed to interupted by adverts and then went back to the live feed. Rather defeats the object. At the Emirates, Arsenal seemed to show everything, regardless of whether it was controversal or not, and not a pop-up in sight!

Gazza - seemed to be instructed to cut out the short stuff as he kicked long almost every time. Always feel a sense of heart in mouth though, and what he was doing with Hoilett's goal.... Clyne - hardly put a foot wrong, and always an option going forward as the extra man. Fonte - Didn't realise notice him to be honest, a good sign that he did things right. Yoshida - A few nervy moments in defence, but like Gazza seemed to have been instructed to get it out rather than try the fancy stuff. Excellent scissor kick! Shaw - does not seem to offer options forward as often as Fox, but seemed much more calming in defence. Schneiderlin - a couple of times put the defence under pressure with mistakes, but always tracked back and his eye for a pass/opportunity always on. Cork - Seems to bring the best out of Schneiderlin and has to be first choice when fit. Puncheon - BEST game I'd seen him play for Saints. Could have had 4 goals, and with a bit more luck and a slighty better right foot he would have done. Ramirez - Solid and his calmness under pressure is amazing. Seems to have all the time in the world. Got a knock so ran out of steam when in on the break 1-on-1, allowing the defender to nip in. Subbed shortly afterwards. Lallana - Sometimes holds onto it too long, but at times he and Ramirez's interchanges were unplayable. Lambert - led the line brilliantly and put his head in when it hurts. Drifted to the left second half diverting attention from others breaking into the box. Davis (Ramirez) - playing in advance of the midfield two and was breaking into the box at every opportunity. Complete contrast to the WBA game when every pass he made went back. Fox - Came on as Shaw tired, and was hardly troubled as Saints remained on the front foot. JayRod - only on a couple of mins for Lambert, but kept the ball in the corner well at the end.

Mine arrived in the post last week, and the envelope was not even sealed.
