The Swansea winger that Bertrand cut in half last week has recovered enough to keep his place in the starting XI (alongside Cork).
-
There was a decent contingent of Dutch fans (FC Groningen I think)... one of them decided to change the mood with a trumpet... playing the last post when the Swansea kid was being treated, and eventually "having a go" at playing When the Saints go Matching In. All friendly from where I was sat.

He would definitely be worth considering, the right age and seems to improve as he's worked up the leagues via various loans.
-
Forster Clyne Fonte Yoshida Bertrand Reed Cork JWP Davis Elia Pelle

He was takay in an ambulance after the game (we were held from crossing the path of the vehicle)... looked out of it. Never seen Tadic move so quickly either, as he got away from the game.

Not sure really - growing up in Somerset, it was more a Liverpool/Man Utd monopoly, but all the family live or lived in Southampton/Winchester area. I remember watching a game on ITV in 1992 - Man City against Saints, which was won 1-0 thanks to a header from Ian Dowie. Sadly I can still remember the team to this day.... it had no Le Tissier in it! Was the only Saints fan in secondary school too!
-
As there's no midweek game after, I suspect it may be an unchanged team, aside from possibly Targett for Bertrand.
-
Richardson and Butterfield were important signings - meant no more Lloyd James at RB! Agree with the majority overall - Lambert or Fonte.
-
Tyrone Mings may be worth a shout at the end of the season IF Ipswich don't go up?
-
Have we just stumbled across that left sided centre back?
-
He let out a loud **** after he felt it, and punched the ground in frustration... It therefore may be a bit more serious than his previous injury,

Andy Townsend to leave ITV (ITV.... that's ITV, not Sky!!)

Hmm, the worst (Wilshere) commentators on the (Wilshere) television, on a par (Jack) with Phil Neville, (Jack Wilshere) and past greats (Wilshere) such as Robbie (Jack) Earle. Also had (Wilshere) a contagious disease (Jack Wilshere) that makes you (Jack) mention Jack Wilshere (Jack Wilshere) every third word. -
Players Best so far: Clyne Signing: Alderweireld - calmness personified. Biggest disappointment: Mayuka. The substandard impact sub. Worst signing: Taider. Only ever saw him warm up. Best goal: Schneiderlin against Newcastle. End of a perfect passing move. Games Best team played: Chelsea kept coming, and coming. Worst team performance: Sunderland just fell apart. Worst player performance: Mannone self destructed. Best Saints performance: Stoke at home - for its professional nature after Sunderland. Worst Saints performance: Tottenham in league. Sheff Utd in Cup. Premier League Winners: Chelsea Losers: Leicester, WBA and Burnley/QPR... Overachievers: West Ham Underachievers: Liverpool Best player: Austin and Sanchez for how they have adapted. Worst: Lovren... Take away Wanyama, Cork, Schneiderlin and you get the Lyon version.

According to the Sunday Sun, it was Bertrand. Pelle's came off a Ward-Prowse free kick too.

Granted, but to berate a 10 year old like that was out of order, why not tap me on the shoulder and tell me to have a word? It completely ruined the experience and day from then on, others around us agreed, but were met with a similar tirade from this chap. It is surely a minority case - we did go to Man Utd and he stood on his seat there to see, as many others did!
-
My nephew did that at Arsenal and was told to "****** sit down you little ****. I paid to ****** watch the ****** game, not your ****** head." Nice.
-
An excellent team performance - the plan B we have been crying out for. Yoshida made that third goal, and to think he wasn't even sure if he should go up for the preceeding corner! Did anyone else notice after he'd scored, Alderweireld grabbed the ball and booted it out the ground... superb. PS. Forster's save from Lukaku's thunderbolt was top drawer from our viewpoint in the Itchen.

Chris Foy is the ref - have we had him before this year?
-
Bloody McGoldrick.
-
Just proves that the gap between the top two teams, and the rest of the PL is massive. Those two breakaway goals were very impressive.
-
Tonight just goes to show how important the "droppable" Steven Davis is to the entire set-up of the team IMO... However, many of the Saints teams of old would have folded, this one kept going to nab a point.

Liverpool hit by the double beard attack. 3-1.
-
As others have said, Why would he want to come back? He'd arguably be in a near identical situation here by sitting on the bench, hoping for the occasional run-out.
-
If you look back at the goals Saints conceded against West Ham, Spurs and the first one tonight - all have been low long range shots that Forster has struggled to get down to. I am sure this will be worked on over the coming weeks.
