  1. I like the Lancaster with its four Merlins, but the Mossie was just right with two
  2. Not my clip, but was impressive to see live - Vulcan overshoot (with a West Country accent)...
  3. Not as good as a de Havilland Mosquito - that sounds like two Spitfires strapped together!
  4. I tried the alternative number and it came up with a fault, but got through on next attempt. Therefore, persevere a few times if you come across this....
  5. Got held up in every way possible en route, but bumped into Rickie, Kelvin and Dan Harding just after we arrived! The three of them signed the nipper's book and we congratulated them on the result - Rickie was beaming! Obviously big thanks must go to all three of them for stopping and having a quick chat before heading home
  6. Thanks guys. I have a young man here who has found details of a Flybe flight from Leeds arriving tonight and is insisting we take him to the Airport!
  7. Do you think they'll fly back to SOU/Bournemouth tonight, or stay overnight up in Leeds?
  8. If anyone sky+ the game, I am pretty sure Warnock was "f-ing and blinding" at the final whistle, the camera audio picked it up clearly just after the handshake. Not sure whom he was berating
  9. B. Saints are currently 5 points ahead of 3rd place today (Reading), and if Pompey were to fold in three minutes time, Saints would be 6 points ahead of third (West Ham). Therefore, Saints (as it stands) would not gain any substantial advantage if Pompey did fold as others will move up into West Ham's place, maintaining the existing point differences. Despite losing those six points, West Ham would actually gain an extra game in hand over Saints if my maths is correct?
  10. 606 now up, swearing has been removed but the reactions have not. 52:25 ish onwards to 57:00... http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01cdnlb/606_25_02_2012/
  11. Did you see the chap wearing the yellow Saints shirt? He was quality!
  12. Watford were dreadful, cannot remember them having more than a couple of chances all game and none were on target. Saints came and although they didn't play well, got the job done. Couldn't help but chuckle at the 4 Police Officers patrolling the East Stand in case of "crowd trouble". Me thinks that there is a waiting list for overtime at Home games.......
  13. If he (Green) was sent off for a foul, it will be a 1-match ban not 3, unless he has been sent off already this season? Palace may prove a stern test on Saturday after their 4-0 win last weekend.
  14. Trevor "Open your eyes" Kettle is always pretty bad whenever I have seen him, especially down at Huish Park when refereeing Yeovil Town.
  15. Sam Vokes to Brighton - loan deal until end of season according to SSN.
  16. ....in case anyone is interested, a few moments ago in the Brighton vs Newcastle game, Adam El Abd has just gone down clutching his face, rolling around etc following a robust challenge where Cabaye's foot accidentially brushed his head in the followthrough. Thankfully the referee and linesman did not buy into his over-the-top reaction... It will probably not make the highlights reel tonight, but provided further proof Brighton is still using the same 'make the most of it' tactics.
  17. There's no urgency to sign anyone now - with the next league game after Leicester scheduled for Tuesday 31st Saints can take their time (unless the FA Cup is a priority).
  18. Hopefully Monday 13th / Thursday 16th then
  19. According to http://www.thefa.com/Competitions/FACompetitions/TheFAYouthCup/Fixtures Saints vs Forest is scheduled for Saturday 11th February with 1900hrs kick-off - so would point towards Staplewood. Perhaps the Club may try to persuade fans to stay on at St Marys after the Burnley game if they plan to hold it there, but it would be a bit of a logistical nightmare getting both senior teams out the dressing rooms to let the youth teams in!
  20. Hopefully Bamba will still be away in the African Nations, which would negate their aerial presence at the back. Seems ages until the game though!
  21. Didn't play today either for Palace... Start those conspiracy theories!
  22. Just seen the goals properly on SSN (I did watch the stream but missed the 2nd goal!) - red card was justified but the probable 3-match ban punishment seems a tad harsh. That "Julie" lad seems to be doing well. (The BBC Producer now seems to accept it is pronounced Ger-Guly, but we'll wait and see).

    Shooting

Corners have got better with Fox in the team - Schneiderlin can also deliver a decent ball. However with Fox, you usually see 1 or 2 a game that will sail over everyone at the near post, and bounce down into open space past the far stick....

    Shooting

Holmes against Watford is the one that springs to mind straight away..... could be wrong though?

    Subbuteo

I got a similiar cricket game for Christmas once year - a cloth-like pitch and outfield, fielders with a fixed stance, and batsman and bowlers with push/pull controls! I'm now going to look for it to see what it was called!!!
