I remember Lambert's free kick at Bournemouth very well, and the Saints fans applauding Gobern as he left the pitch - though I doubt many realised just how kungfu it was at the time! Barnard's winner against MK Dons also sticks in the mind. As soon as Forte brought us back to 2-1 I thought Saints *may* have a chance, but there's always the fear in the back of the mind that after the equaliser Saints would somehow manage to throw it all away as they have done in the past so many times. Lambert's goal against Huddersfield was a watershed moment I think in his season, was it his first goal from open play? My reading of the Fonte winner at Brighton brought many strange looks, as I was walking out of Huish Park following the end of Yeovil's comeback from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Bournemouth in the last five minutes. Quite a few people wondered why I was so animated

Brilliant day down there... we were one once more as an away support! On the travel bus back Barnard just sneaked MoTM but only by a single vote from Lallana, Lambert and Fonte. Did anyone else see the ballboy getting a bullocking for his gesture as he walked past the fans... classic.

I remember seeing Beattie score a penalty for the England U21s on TV - I have never seen a worst spot kick. Smashed straight down the middle, against the crossbar I think or perhaps at the keeper's head, hitting either then dribbling in over the line. When I saw his next spot kick on the box against Brighton I think (Cup game?), I was very surprised at his change of technique. Magilton always seemed to just smash them hard, low and straight as well, I always wondered why keepers never bothered to study his method!

LOL. May have seen you in there... Three guys behind us told us the news at around 1215hrs. Cannot quite work out why he left it for a further 90 mins from his intial pitch inspection - expecting the pitch and surrounding areas to dry out in temperatures close to 0c? The ice around the local area was quite bas as well, especially in the Industrial Park close to the Anglican pub.... I recovered just in time before going arse over tit.
