An off day all round for the starting XI with the exception of Lallana - when will Saints actually wake up the moment the match begins! Before Orient scored inside 90 seconds, they could already have been 1 up! Following the goal, Orient just stuck everyone behind the ball and allowed Saints to try and pass their way through the block of 9, sometimes 10 players. Puncheon's corners were woeful with always hitting the first man, but credit where it was due, his quick switch of play and cross contributed to both Lallana's goals (as did Lambert's header for No.2). Regarding the subs, Seaborne always has one or two lapses of concentration a game, but I am sure that will cease given time. Paul Wotton again also causes some moments of panic, with his aimless headed clearances. Antonio again looked raw, some good bursts and some poor ones...

If there were awards for League One's worst refereeing performances of 2009/2010, Eddie Ilderton at Tranmere would be in with a shout. He missed such an obvious handball a blind man could see it for Tranmere's third goal! Nil marks for the lino also for the 1st penalty decision as well.

I had heard how bad the view was from the away end, but didn't realise it would be that bad! Didn't expect to be frisked either, or 'encouraged' to go into the away 'suite' as soon as we arrived either (in good time prior to KO). Cannot comment much on the first half, as it was played out of sight with regards Saints attacking, but defensively it seemed we were getting exposed by the midfield being bypassed by Brighton's quickness. 1-1 was good at the break and I did think AP would have seriously considered changes immediately or shortly after. Someone surely would have suggested it through the dressing room window on their way back from the loo Barnard was warming up for over 15 minutes before he came on second half, but to be fair we were having a decent spell early on, but Brighton broke away and scored. I think most Saints fans wanted him on ASAP after that, as Saints just seemed to run out of ideas and play hoofball. Post substitutions they played better and funnily enough when we got the ball on the floor, Waigo burst to the byline, hit the ball low across the box, goal. Happy with a point considering the performance in parts (wanted 3 naturally), but it leaves absolutely no margin for error now - 8 wins a must and that probably won't be enough.

No, that was 95/96 season if memory serves. Saints were playing Wimbledon - 0-0.

The 360 seats are restricted to families, seniors and ambulant disabled. This is strictly enforced at Huish Park, or at least has been on previous occasions.

Orient - superb day out with the 'Saints family' - we were all as one that day. Brentford - bloody cold but almost getting cleaned up by a Lambert skier will live long in the memory. Exeter - an old style ground, but a very friendly place.

Special mention must go to Hillingdon (and every other station that applies) for recommending the £5.10 tickets, it was written on a big board at the entrance. A friend used the Richmond option and remarked how quiet it was when he got there. One assumes it filled up a bit after he went through, as his trip home wasn't as easy!

Arrived back at 1830hrs. Tubed it in and out to Wembley Park from Hillingdon - no problems whatsoever getting in this morning - the train was full of both sets of fans without any signs of trouble. Getting out was slow getting to the actual station, but got on the first tube that arrived and 25 mins later we were on our way back to the M25. Easy. Game was great although you have to say Carlisle gifted us the first three goals - first visit and it was fantastic. What I will always remember was the 2 seconds of silence between Carlisle hitting the bar, and the ooooooooooooooooooooh from their supporters -
Yep, both tickets I have also have duplicate stamped on them... Glad someone else has too

There was some hestitant defending by us that let the ball go to their right back, but I cannot remember us ever helping it off his foot, nor applying the neccessary curl into the top corner. Certainly one of the top 3 away goals I've seen at St Marys (Andy Williams' and Puncheon's the others). Regarding Saints - Seaborne does looks a bit of a liability at present, but I am sure with games and time he'll get better. Puncheon was poor in the first half, but the run that led to the 3rd goal was brilliant! Barnard still goes to ground a bit too much, but a win is a win.
