  1. Darren Carter also worth a look, and maybe Elliot Ward whom Preston will not be signing
  2. Top marks to the lad in the morph suit, brilliant!

Sorry I thought you were talking about Jamie Redknapp for a moment there. Tis a good game apart from the commentary.
  4. Didn't Saints look at a guy called Donnelly, who later went to Stockport? May still be available and willing to stay in League 1?

Cannot stand that Mark Bright - that Sheff Wed player "only had a little cut on his toe, why did he go off?" rrrr. Because it was likely to have been dislocated and was hanging off at a weird angle. Did you not see the pain and anguish on his face man. A pundit completely out of his depth.
  6. Ostembor got caught out on a number of occasions ball watching, causing panic. Aaron Martin was very good throughout, and deserves another crack next week... Lloyd James' performance left a lot to be desired, and Fonte the same. Elvis' feints and faking did not fool the steward at the end - I think if he had his way Elvis would have been booted into touch following his slip and capture. Man not amused syndrome! Remember chaps next week.... "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease stay off the pitch"
  7. These were the prices for 09/10... If you add 2.5% for the increase in VAT, and possibly £1.00-£1.50 per game on those = £33-£45 increase for renewals (wings/northam being the example).
  8. Can you describe why he was so bad? The reason I ask is that I didn't get to many Saints games when he was at the club, indeed my only memory of him playing was when he scored in a pre-season friendly! Or have I answered my own question!
  9. Did OK IMO. Looks more a defensive minded midfielder than attacking, although could have got a goal had Barnard passed instead of shooting.
  10. It caused great amusement in block 10, we thought a penalty had been awarded Fair play to Ian Harte though, gave KD no chance with the shot... Miss of the season goes to Papa Waigo for 4-1?
  11. Well at least Oli Lancashire escaped his wrath
  12. Checking up on Dawson, appears he's out of contract too at the end of the season, as is Scott Donnelly at Aldershot, who's mentioned earlier in this thread...
  13. Indeed it was. Correction it was 1994, not 1993, apologies. I remember the date well (not the year!) - as on the same night there was a brutal murder in Yeovil, 5 mins walk from our old house...
  14. My first Saints game - March 30th 1993! Remember Le Tissier scored one of his beauties from the edge of the area, cue the flying bog roll onto the pitch
  15. Gavin Williams from Bristol City (on loan at Yeovil and was the player involved in the Schneiderlin sending off) would be a handy player in the squad. Can play both the attacking and defensive midfield playmaker role well, although has a less than perfect disciplinary record. Out of contract I believe at the end of the season too...
  16. Yeovil have a number of players out of contract at the end of the season, but they do not offer new deals until near the end of the campaign, as they know what their budget is. Dean Bowditch, the No.14 that started today is one such example.
  17. But then if they don't move the away fans, we won't ever get access to the North Car Park ever again. Perish the thought...
  18. By some curious co-incidence I was in Block L seat 24
  19. What block were you in? There were three or four Saints fans at least in Blocks L and M
  20. According to the Yeovil fan sat a couple of seats down, he spoke to a copper whom reportedly said "we're expecting trouble from this lot if Yeovil win this late..." Before the game, it was very friendly banter outside the Arrow as we walked to the ground, as a large number of fans were there sat on the grassy areas outside and around it. No signs whatsoever of any trouble or disorder.
  21. I was sat in the Cowlin, and the incident happened on the far touchline. From where I was sat it definitely looked as though another defender was nearby, however the trajectory of my view (right on the front row) didn't help! He could have miles away in reality! Did see the animated discussion though post incident, it appeared that someone was sent from the touchline possibly Wilkins? Local radio really lambasted the referee's performance, stating the Fonte challenge and also the missed penalty decision? I don't remember it (and that is an honest answer!)
  22. Please forgive me if I am stepping on anyone's toes by creating this thread... Just arrived back at my temporary home from the game - pheewwwwwwwww! First half, for the opening 30 minutes was all Saints, just no end product. Yeovil came into it for the last 15 minutes and were very unfortunate not to go 1 up at the break. Once again, the right side looked very shaky with Otsemobor having a poor game by his standards. Once his main attribute pace is matched equally by the winger he's facing, he's always going to struggle. Puncheon looked lively, and Lallana stumbled when one-on-one, but tried a scorpion kick to get it in. Second half Saints again started strongly with some good chances but faded somewhat as Yeovil then looked more likely to break the deadlock. I did not see Schneiderlin's offence, but those around me suggested he raised his hands? Very strange to see Waigo at right back/wing back, his first cross almost went out the ground, his third however... brilliant. Connolly coming on really gave the forward line some spark, allowing Lambert to float behind. The away support was fantastic from where I was sat close to the halfway line. Post match there is still lots of police around, with panda cars parked in all the local streets post match (Sat in a house 2 mins from the Arrow). There were a few away fans in with the home support that momentarily forgot who they were supposed to be supporting... Yeovil did deserve a point no question, but the knack of a good side is taking three. Home fans perspective, should Fonte have gone? My opinion is No. There was a defender level with him when he committed the offence...
  23. Just have to concentrate on getting 6 points this week - no margin for error now from a Saints perspective. Get the gap down to five points by the time we play Carlisle, and it suddenly doesn't look as comfortable for Huddersfield, although admittedly they have one foot in the playoffs now. Two words though - Cardiff City. Remember what happened to them last season...
  24. Grrrrrrr! 1-0.
  25. Jordan Rhodes misses a fab chance!
