40 year anniversary of Keegan signing for Saints
sadoldgit replied to CumbrianSaint's topic in The Saints
I seem to remember they fell out after a game we lost in which Big Mac said to KK that he had "cheated out there today." We went on to finish runners up after KK left so we didn't do too badly. I also remember KK saying he left so that Big Mac could afford to buy Shilton? -

No one is saying that Yoshi hasn't been a good servant to the club, as was Frannie Benali. The problem is that if we are aspiring to be a "best of the rest" club then we cant afford to have players in the team who give away goals cheaply. Unfortunately Yoshi gets blamed continuously because he makes many unforced errors. It was really good to see him score and have a decent game the other day but he really does need to sharpen up consistently. I really don't think many, if any, other Prem sides would come in for him if he was up for sale right now.

I cant have been 40 years ago because that is when we won the cup. My Dad, who NEVER phoned me at work, called me to tell me the news. Still find it hard to believe it actually happened! -
I would like to see our election process overhauled. It is unrepresentative of the electorate and archaic.

Ron has nailed it. He needs to work on his concentration and awareness. He has got a good attitude but attitude is one thing, application another.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

It is appalling Hutch, and as a father of three daughters I worry about my girls. But rape is rape and I have just been reading about what happened to Milly Dowler which is also sickening. No one is pretending it isn't happening, but at the same time we shouldn't be more concerned about rape if it is carried out by Muslims or Asians. We should be concerned about all rape in equal measure shouldn't we? -
Not going to apologise for having a pop at him for giving away soft goals just because he had a good game the other day. And players shouldn't be happy about being reserves.

But these are American voters we are talking about.

Be careful, Batman gets very touchy around the subject of racism. As we speak he is probably looking for stories to post about how migrants are dying or being mistreated. There must be dozens of them in the Daily Mail. -

What colour would that be Jamie? -
I don't think you have to be of any political persuasion to see that the media (certainly the press) is mainly right wing.
-
If news is reported in a factual way I don't think that bias applies. Of course, as soon as someone ventures an opinion then you can say that opinion is open to bias. Columnists are paid to be biased in the most part are they not?
-
To be fair to the Beeb, other news organisations also reported that including Reuters.

Not at all clever, especially following the other recent sending off. Goodness knows what goes through the guys head but he has let the team and the club down again. You don't want to lose decent players but if he goes in the summer will it be a great loss?
-
I would agree with this. The press is very biased in the main whereas I think the reporting on TV and the radio is more balanced. The BBC gets stick for being run by a load of lefties but I think it is fairly balanced in its news reporting.
