James Ward-Prowse's list of indisputable, unimprovable weaknesses

The new Guly? -
The Liverpool result shows just how crazy this year is. For those who think that our manager and team are sh*t perhaps they should think again.

Yes it is, but given the millions who do wish to live in peace at least we are talking about a small minority. -
Not saying its luck, I am saying it is football. There have been many strange results this season so far. Who thought we would play Chelsea off the park? Man City have been slipping up recently. West Ham have gone off the boil. United have looked poor but have still picked up points. Who would imagine that Leicester would still be flying high? We have been very patchy but we are not alone there. To say we were sh*t hot last season isn't right. We had plenty of games then when we only turned up for one half or the other.
-
It isn't necessarily down to the staff turn over. We had a bigger turn over the season before but that didn't seem to affect us in the same way. Morale is a difficult thing to pin down. Sometimes it is there and stays there, sometimes it can be there for a while and then disappear like a puff of smoke. The top sportsman aren't just the most gifted technically, they are the strongest mentally. You can try and instil self belief in the players during training sessions but you cant force it into them.

I am not on the left but I have no problem with people practicing their own religion in peace. Was does the Islamification of their Country even mean? Are you saying that the Queen will have to change her religion? -
Thorpie, stop being so positive!
-
We seemed to have plenty of pace when we took Chelsea apart? Last year we won games we didn't expect to and lost games we didn't expect to. That is football. Palace aren't playing as well as they were earlier in the season and that is a game we can win. On our day we can beat anyone and our day will come again.

Do I think that Islam is a good thing? I am not religious but I have no problem in people peacefully practicing their own religions. I do have a problem with nutters who arm themselves to the teeth and go out and kill innocent people. That includes the crazy Americans who manage to kill more of their neighbours than any terrorist group each year. -

This is the thing though, they way you talk about "their religion" makes it sound like they have no choice. Just because some of them are wired differently and chose to interpret their Holy Book in a certain way doesn't mean that the whole of Islam is tainted. There are nutters in every religious organisations who take extreme positions and claim that is what the "word" says. If that was the case you think that the rest of the 1.6b would follow that to. -
You know what, this winning football matches malarkey is very tricky isn't it? Look at Chelsea. All you have to do it to spend a lot of money on "big" players, get a "big" manager in and you are sorted. Or maybe not. Who would have thought that Leicester and Chelsea would be in their respective positions this year? That is the beauty of sport, It is random. Jose tells us that it is impossible to go down. It is not. It is unlikely though, and only because there are worse teams than Chelsea getting worse results at the moment. There are times when everything you hit flies into the back of the net, as with Liverpool the other day. There are other days where you batter away at the goal and get nothing, like us yesterday. When we put 8 past Sunderland Ron was still critical of the way we played. That is someone who has got his perspective right. Something we could do with a bit more of on here.
-
Really not a fan of Ron's are you?
-
I don't know what they mean either but they look to reflect on who the team is playing generally. If everyone is doing their job in front of the keeper he should have a lot less to do. When you get the time and space as Liverpool did the other night any keeper will struggle. Stek had done a good job for us this season as far as I can see. It is the cover in front of him that has been poor. I see he gets blamed for being rooted to the spot against Villa. What about his team mates around him that were also routed to the spot and watched the ball bobble pasr them?
-
Where was the Manager critical of the Board in the National Media? That is not the way I read his comments at all. You might not have implied there was a meltdown but you seemed to imply that things were not right, which on this forum means a meltdown is on its way!
-
I am sorry but which goals as he let in recently that have been soft?

suspended

So you think that they are all homicidal maniacs? -
We think we have problems? I am glad I am not a Chelsea supporter.
-
No but a perfect replacement for Cork.
-
I really think you are being very harsh. Liverpool's finishing the other night was top quality. I really don't think you can blame him for any of those goals.
-
We have had the same arguments going back decades though, spend more on players and more on players wages. Is there one player who has left in the last two seasons who we could possibly match their new pay packet or CL aspirations? How many players who we have been after have chosen Palace, Newcastle or Stoke over us?
-
Well if it is that obvious why say anything? Seriously though, why is it obvious that things are not right behind the scenes? Is it because they haven't said anything for a while - in which case it could be that everything is fine and there is nothing to say. I thought that the old adage was No News Is Good News, not No News Means There Is a Meltdown.
