  1. Yes, you would have shot him! This clip shows that it is not necessary and that people can be arrested without blowing holes in them. The point we were making before was about shooting unarmed people running away or not posing a threat to the life of the officer. The example previously has led to the officer being charged with murder.
  2. What's up with basketball too? Go up one end, score, go up the other end score...continue to the final whistle. The team that score immediately before the end of the match wins. Pah.
  3. I am of that same vintage that remembers seeing Docker play when first watching Saints play. RIP and thanks for the memories.
  4. Many of use break the speed limit every day and many of us don't get caught and charge. Does that mean we haven't committed a crime? Does a crime only exist if there is a charge and a conviction? What of the rapes that go uncharged? No crime?
  5. Let's do sports. I'll start. Baseball is just over hyped rounders and American Football is the biggest pantomime going. Get that bloody padding off and play like real men. Tarts.
  6. Yes lots have closed but that doesn't mean to say that there aren't any left. There are still plenty around. And Britain has changed hugely since 1975. The 70s wasn't great. 3 day weeks, crap fashions, the IRA bombings etc. But you know what, we are quite civilised now. And you don't have to worry about being shot by the police if you turn your back on them

Some people would say anything for a sh@g. I take it "know" and "an encounter" are euphemisms?

  10. What debate? Are you honestly saying that Gerard wasn't a quality player in his prime?
  11. Are you seriously suggesting that you think it is okay to take guns up to the school gate???
  12. Really? When was the last time you were here?

  14. Yeah WTF is up with that? Don't understand a) why anyone without a personality disorder would want to do that and b) why the mods allow it.
  15. Used to take a girlfriends kids to school when I stayed in Seattle a few years back. There was a sign at the school that read No Guns Beyond This Point.
  16. Well I guess you would know about the Brit mind as you were born here. It is quite easy really. Most British people find the prospect of police officers murdering unarmed civilians who pose no threat abhorrent. Most British people find the idea of people having loaded guns in their houses, cars, offices, schools (in fact anywhere) totally unnecessary and dangerous. Put these guns in the hands of the unhinged or children and you have the recipe for disaster - as happens all too frequently in the Land of the Free to blow someone's head off.
  17. What would go in one ear and out of the other is a bullet fired by one of your nice friendly police officers.

  19. Still, it all worked out well in the end so without that stuff we wouldn't have the manager we have now and be where we are now. So happy days!
  20. Or his dog who seems to know more about his financial affairs than he does too.
  21. WTF? If it wasn't so easy to buy guns and ammunition there would be no need to worry about leaving the safety on or off. What is a loaded gun doing lying around anyway? Isnt this the whole point? Guns are very, very dangerous. They are responsible for hundreds of deaths a year, accidental or otherwise. That is why it is not a very good idea to let people have them outside of the armed forces.
